High Innovation Tile shows two very different faces depending on where you look: a perfect 5.0 across 71 Thumbtack reviews, and a much rougher 3.7 from just three ratings on Google. Owner Oseas Ferraz runs the tile business out of the Revere-Everett area north of Boston, working floors, backsplashes, tub surrounds, and pool tile — the mix of jobs that shows up across its Thumbtack, BBB, and Angi listings. Its Better Business Bureau profile puts the company at 25 years in business and gives it an A+ rating, though it is not BBB-accredited. The written record runs from 2021 to 2025 and keeps returning to the same trait: careful, unhurried work. In a July 2025 Thumbtack review, a customer credited Ferraz with personally making sure a pool retiling job was done correctly, with the work area left completely cleaned up; another reviewer that same month praised the attention to detail on a job. In January 2025, a homeowner who had gotten quotes from six contractors chose Ferraz for a bathroom tub-and-floor job, citing his thoroughness on an old, unlevel house, while a second review from that month described a tile job finished in under a week after being put off for over a year. Older accounts echo the same pattern: a 2024 Google review praised a fast-turnaround kitchen backsplash, a 2021 Google review called the work quick and pleasant to deal with, and a 2021 Thumbtack review described extra time spent on water sealing and prep before the tile went down. The one sour note is a 2022 Google review describing a scheduled Saturday estimate that got pushed to the following Monday — and then never happened, with no follow-up call. It is an isolated account among the eight reviews on file, but worth asking about directly. Separately, the business's licensing picture is muddled on paper: BuildZoom's own profile lists license #200835 as both "Active" and, in another section of the same page, as "Inactive" and cancelled, alongside two other unrelated license numbers marked cancelled. For a straightforward tile job — a floor, a backsplash, a shower surround — the reviews point to a contractor who takes his time and communicates well once work is underway. Before booking, it is worth confirming his current license status directly and getting a firm appointment time in writing, given the one missed-appointment account on record.
Oseas and company did a beautiful job retiling our pool. They are very responsive, professional, and easy to work with. Oseas went above and beyond to make sure that the job was done correctly, the work area was completely cleaned up when they finished and that we are completely happy with it Great job!
The quality of the work is top-notch—it came out beautiful and clean, with great attention to detail. The installer was very respectful and professional, taking the time to answer any questions I had throughout the process. I truly appreciated the care and precision put into the job. I would definitely hire High Innovation Tile again for future projects!
I have been procrastinating over this tile job for over a year, finally reached out and the job was complete less than a week later. Quality work at a respectable price, can't give high enough praises!
I needed to have a bathroom tub area and floor tiled and had contacted six parties for consultations and quotes. I ultimately went with Oseas and his team due to his professionalism, attentiveness, and reasonable pricing. Oseas was very thorough and detail oriented, giving astute recommendations on tiling decisions for an old house that was not at all level, as well as on how to make the vertical stacked tile work visually in the niche and ledge. I felt that he cared about his work and would not cut corners. He also came back two weeks later to install stone in the wet area. I'm very happy with the results and highly recommend him for any tiling work.
We were very happy with the kitchen backsplash the High Innovation Tile team installed. They were quick to respond to our initial inquiry, promptly provided a quote, and worked quickly once they arrived. They were responsive to our scheduling requests and their work is high quality - they have a great eye for detail and made excellent suggestions. They also did an excellent job of cleaning up after the job - sweeping, vacuuming, and removing any debris or leftover materials. We would happily hire them again for a future project.
