ICOR Electric, LLC works out of Quincy, handling the electrical side of home ownership: panel upgrades, rewiring older houses up to code, and the routine calls like a dead thermostat or a smoke detector that needs swapping out. The company says on its own site that it has served Eastern Massachusetts since 2005, run by, in its own words, skilled Master Electricians. The numbers back up a business that has built a track record over time. Angi puts it at 4.7 stars across 297 ratings, Google shows a perfect 5 from its 8 reviews, and ecohome.co adds another 5 out of 5 across 7 reviews. The Better Business Bureau grades it A+, though it hasn't sought formal accreditation there. Across those sources, the recurring theme is promptness and professionalism rather than any single standout project. Worth asking about before booking: one Angi review lays out a specific complaint. A customer said a thermostat and three smoke/CO alarm swap cost $1,000 in parts and labor, well above the roughly $120 she said the parts alone cost online, and felt the hourly rate was never made clear upfront. It is the one detailed complaint on file, and it is about pricing transparency rather than the quality of the electrical work itself. There is also a paperwork wrinkle worth a passing question: a Massachusetts corporation called Icor Electric, Inc., registered at this same Standish Avenue address, was involuntarily dissolved by court or state order at some point after its 2006 incorporation. Whether that is simply an earlier corporate form of today's LLC or something else isn't clear from what's available, but it's worth asking about before signing anything. For a panel upgrade, an old-house rewire, or a routine repair, the ratings across Angi, Google, and ecohome suggest most customers come away satisfied. Just get the hourly rate and any parts markup spelled out in writing before the truck rolls.

My house, built in 1884, was in deep need of an electrical upgrade to bring it up to code and allow us to safely use anything requiring electricity. There was hardly anything in the house that hadn’t been done by either a friend or a relative. Tady Came in and gave us a game plan and clear understanding of what needed to be done to bring our house up to code and meet our potentially future electronic needs. It was an expensive investment that was way past due and we are totally pleased with the end results! The job was done with minimal fuss and mess. Tady was able to answer all our inquiries and made adjustments based on our requests (for example, I found an overhead entry light to bright and he replaced it with a dimmer.). We ended up with many more convenient outlets, overhead lights where we never had them before, hardwired smoke and CO2 detectors, Outdoor outlets and the ability to put in car charging access if we ever go that way. Great job. Thanks Tady.
