Innovative Waste Systems runs trash and recycling routes out of Middleton, and most of what customers describe is the unglamorous stuff done right: the truck shows up, the dumpster lands when promised, someone picks up the phone. The company says it has been family owned and operated since 2019 — about seven years in business — handling residential and commercial curbside pickup, front-load service, roll-off dumpsters and compactor service. Its Google page averages 4.5★ across 15 ratings, and the meatiest accounts come from businesses rather than households. A shop with a six-yard container and larger roll-offs at job sites wrote in February 2024 that pickups run on schedule; a contractor writing in June 2024 said he moved all his construction sites over to IWS and named Alex and Mike for communication and on-time delivery. In an April 2025 review, a customer had a storage unit quoted, emptied and the floor swept in about half an hour. Community work surfaces too — a 2023 reviewer credited the company with sponsoring youth sports and keeping an eye on trash barrels at local fields. The thing to settle before signing is billing. A March 2026 customer said that trash and recycling set out separately went into the same truck while being billed as two pickups, and questioned a gas surcharge applied when fuel prices were low. That is one voice against a mostly positive run, but it is recent and specific enough to put directly to them: ask how sorted recycling is collected and where it goes, whether it is billed as its own pickup, and what triggers a fuel surcharge and how it is calculated.
