A metal roof James Gagne Roofing installed less than six years ago, still under warranty, has failed more than once, a customer wrote on Google. The customer says one roof panel slid about 12 inches off the structure and it took months of calls before anyone showed up, and that another section of the roof later detached. The customer says they called more than a dozen times over three months, were told someone would come out, and no one arrived. The same area of the roof also leaked less than a year after installation. The customer describes the installation as chaotic, with loud arguments and profanity among crew members. A customer with a childcare center writes that they have worked with Jimmy Gagne for many years on multiple projects there, and that he has been punctual, thorough and fair every time. Its BBB grade is A+.
I’m leaving this review so other homeowners don’t go through what we have with James Gagne Roofing. The metal roof they installed on our home is less than six years old and still under warranty, yet we’ve experienced repeated failures and almost no customer support. Last year, one roof panel slid about 12 inches off the structure. It took months of calls before anyone finally showed up. This year, another section of the roof detached, creating a serious safety concern. I’ve called more than a dozen times over three months. I was repeatedly told someone would come out, but no one ever arrived — and now the owner simply ignores all calls. The customer service is extremely unprofessional, and getting any response at all has been nearly impossible. The same area of the roof also leaked less than a year after installation, and although they claimed to fix it, the recurring problems make it clear the underlying issue was never resolved. The installation itself was chaotic and unprofessional. The project dragged on far longer than expected, and there were loud arguments and profanity among crew members. One worker appeared visibly impaired multiple times. Even our general contractor later said they would never work with this company again because of communication problems. We invested heavily in this project and expected a roof that would last — not repeated failures, ignored warranty obligations, and months of unanswered calls. Based on our experience, I strongly advise homeowners to look elsewhere. I am begrudgingly giving this company a 1 star review, only because it will not allow me to provide 0 stars.
Jimmy Gagne has NEVER failed to impress me! I have worked with him for many years on multiple different projects at my childcare center, and he is the epitome of professionalism, integrity and fairness. Every time he works on a project or a service, he has been punctual, thorough and fair. If I need a job done, he is always my first call… and last because he always gets it done. Thank you Jimmy! #GOAT #itsforthekids #grateful #solid
