Thirteen reviews landed in the last six months, all of them five stars, and most of them about a deck. JCN Pro - Construction works out of 155 New Boston St in Woburn, building decks, deck stairs, porches and siding for homes around Greater Boston. The company says José Neto founded it and still runs it, with more than ten years in the trade, and that it covers Middlesex, Essex, Norfolk and Worcester counties plus southern New Hampshire. It also says its crews are trained on the Trex and TimberTech composite systems. Decks are the through-line. Customers this spring describe a three-level deck torn out and replaced with the company pulling the permit and sending photo updates daily, a set of stairs built to blend into an existing deck, a front porch replaced quickly, and one job that bundled an exterior ramp demolition, a new deck and stair, a backyard fence with two gates, and under-deck lattice. The winter jobs are the other thing worth noticing: a homeowner whose garage collapsed in the storms says JCN handled the permit, demolition and rebuild in a matter of weeks where other contractors had quoted months, and a second says a garage went back up in two weeks during the 2026 Boston blizzard. A third had two decks demolished and rebuilt with snow still on the ground. Bad-weather scheduling, with the town paperwork carried by the contractor, keeps coming up. One thing to settle before signing: Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration 205413 is on the state registry, but it reads as expired. Deck building and exterior remodeling are not among the trades Massachusetts exempts from HIC registration, so ask José for the current registration number and its expiration date, and confirm insurance in the same conversation. A note on the marketing: the "#1 Carpenter in Woburn" badge on the company's own site is credited to a service called BusinessRate, not to a trade body or the state. If you want a deck, porch or set of stairs replaced on a defined schedule — and you want to know what happened on site each day — this is a reasonable call, with a deep and recent run of homeowner praise behind it. Get the registration status in writing first.

We couldn’t be happier with our new deck stairs! From start to finish, the entire experience was outstanding. Neto and his crew were professional, responsive, and paid incredible attention to detail. The craftsmanship is excellent—the stairs are sturdy, beautifully built, and blend perfectly with our existing deck. Neto and his crew showed up when they said they would, kept the work area clean, and clearly took pride in the quality of their work. It’s refreshing to work with a team that delivers exactly what they promise. If you’re looking for a reliable crew that produces exceptional results, I highly recommend Neto and his crew. Our deck looks better than ever, and we wouldn’t hesitate to hire them again!

Jose and his team helped us demolish and remove an exterior ramp, build a new exterior deck and stair, and fence in our backyard with two gates. His team also installed some under-deck lattice and some other finish carpentry work. Start to finish, Jose was amazing to work with. He was very responsive and communicative, professional, and his team's work is truly outstanding - you can tell every member of his team takes their work seriously and is proud of the product. The best part is that his prices are unbeatable - we got several quotes and his proposal was the most transparent and cost conscious. I will be reaching out to Jose for all future jobs at our house!

I am extremely satisfied with JCN Construction Inc. They rebuilt my deck and exceeded all my expectations. The quality of the work is outstanding, everything was done with great attention to detail, and the job site was always clean and organized. They respected the schedule perfectly and finished on time, which I really appreciated. The pricing was fair and transparent, with no surprises at all. José and his team are truly exceptional professionals, reliable, skilled, and very respectful. I couldn’t be happier with the final result, and we now have a beautiful new space to enjoy this summer with friends and family. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for high-quality construction work!
