JMB Septic Service works out of 306 Falmouth Road in Hyannis and is the company Cape Cod homeowners call when a septic system fails at the worst possible moment. The owner, Josh, answers his own phone, and reviewers say so over and over. The emergency record is the most striking thing about them. A customer whose tank alarm went off in the morning had Josh at the house within an hour, walking the property, checking inflow and outflow and adjusting the floats rather than selling a repair. Another was pumped at midnight in January. A third called on a Sunday afternoon with septic water washing into the basement after every other firm was booked with no trucks, and Josh picked up the phone himself. Holiday weekends, Friday evenings, after-hours calls returned within fifteen minutes - the pattern repeats across five years of accounts. The routine work draws the same praise. Crews are named individually - Kevin, Jared, Stevie, Bobby, Jim - and reviewers consistently describe them locating buried covers, explaining the system's condition, and leaving the lawn as they found it. One team removed a deck board by hand and then pulled the town's plans to find a cover hidden under a new porch. Another suggested adding a riser so the next maintenance visit would not require digging, and to better support the sidewalk over the lid. The work goes beyond pumping. In 2024 a homeowner off-Cape had Josh replace the sewer line from the house to the town main, coordinating with the town and DigSafe, sending photos and updates throughout, and billing exactly the quoted price. Others describe a replaced distribution box, a re-plumbed drain, a cleared grinder pump alarm and blocked filters diagnosed and cleaned. In a December 2025 account, a customer who had been told by a previous company that their system was in failure and needed full replacement was told by Josh's team, after they finally looked, that it did not. What is worth confirming before you book is timing and cost structure. In a 2025 review Josh quoted a customer two weeks out because he was that busy, then called back an hour later and fitted them in the same day - so ask where you actually sit in the queue. A midnight call in a 2024 review carried an extra after-hours fee and a separate charge for snaking the line, which that customer described as expected and reasonable, but worth knowing in advance. And in an April 2026 neighbourhood price comparison JMB quoted 450 dollars for one tank, so it is worth getting the number for your own job. This is the right call for a Cape Cod homeowner with a septic emergency, and a solid one for routine pumping and septic repairs. Confirm the after-hours rate and the scheduling window when you call.
“Checking prices, Our and JMB were both $600 & $450 respectively so $1,050 total.”

Thank you, Josh and Kevin, for the excellent service! Josh was one of the only companies who actually answered the phone on a weekend when they were listed as open—and, even better, they actually showed up when they said they would! They also have a convenient text service that confirms your appointment and lets you know when they’re on the way, which was such a nice touch. Kevin provided amazing onsite service, took the time to explain everything to us, and made sure we understood what was going on. It’s not often you come across a company that is this responsive, reliable, and professional. We truly appreciate it! Thank you again, JMB Septic Services! We highly recommend you! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
They always do a great job on my house
Josh did a septic tank pump out. Good service at a reasonable price. Highly recommended.
I called Josh to schedule service as a new customer. He was busy on a job but still answered his phone and promptly called me back as promised. I had an appointment scheduled within a week. I received a courtesy call the day of with ETA which was spot on. Kevin, the service technician, was a pleasure to meet. He was extremely knowledgeable, explained everything, was neat and thorough. I truly appreciated his honesty and I highly recommend this company! An honest and trustworthy business is hard to come by these days but JMB is the exception!
We had a last minute emergency on our very old septic system and Josh and crew were able to come the same day and take care of our issue! Having rental property can be stressful, but knowing there is a company that you can count on last minute provides a lot of peace of mind. Thank you Josh!
