Customers here don't just name the company, they name the tech. Adam's name comes up again and again in reviews from August 2025 through June 2026 — diagnosing and fixing a problem in a single visit, working through an a/c check question by question, digging with Reuben until a boiler ran right. Bourque works out of Hyannis and says it was founded in 1986, putting it at about 40 years of residential and light-commercial heating and cooling across Cape Cod and southeastern Massachusetts: heat pumps and mini splits, central systems, gas boilers, hydro-air and indoor air quality equipment, with commercial refrigeration and ice machine service on its Better Business Bureau listing. Its Massachusetts HVAC licence, 398-SM-B, is active on the state registry, and the BBB grade is an A+. The company's site also lists a Massachusetts plumbing licence, #5026-PL-C, and describes the shop as a MassSave-approved installer. Across 86 Google ratings the average is 4.7, and much of what people describe is the everyday kind of call, handled quickly. A July 2026 customer said the problem was fixed the same morning they phoned. In June 2025, with the temperature at 98 degrees, another wrote that the crew came right out for the a/c. In a March 2026 review, a homeowner whose heating system had been installed incorrectly by a different company said Bourque evaluated it and reinstalled it correctly so they could add onto the house. Seasonal residents who had a Mitsubishi mini split put in during July 2026 said the team worked around their schedule and left room to add units later. Two things are worth asking about. The phones are one: a June 2026 reviewer who was happy with the technician described a disconnect between the answering service and whoever picks up, and an April 2025 customer's appointment was changed before the plumber came out and made the repair. The other is a July 2023 account of a whole-home heat pump installation — the price was competitive and the people were nice, the customer wrote, and the job was completed, but several mistakes were made and not corrected, and the crew seemed in a rush to finish at the end. A one-star review from June 2026 is not about the work at all: the writer said one of the company's vans cut him off in traffic. For a Cape house that needs heat or cooling brought back quickly, or a mini split put in by people who will stop and answer questions, this is a straightforward call. On a big installation, agree the punch list and who signs it off before the crew moves on, and confirm the appointment with the office itself rather than leaving it with the answering service.
