Packard's Kitchens is a showroom, not a crew. Mary Packard opened it in 1996 and still owns it; the company designs kitchens and baths, supplies cabinetry from six brands along with countertops and hardware, and refers you to a contractor for the installation. Its own site says so plainly, and a March 2016 customer described how that works in practice — Packard's dealt directly with her own contractor, and she called the renovation stress-free. Four people run it, from one address on Cambridge Street in Burlington, by appointment only. The designers get named in every account. A May 2024 customer worked with Donna on a kitchen remodel and said she helped think through layout, materials, colours and cabinet hardware in a way that felt collaborative — set explicitly against an earlier designer who showed a few options and told them to pick one. In March 2024 a repeat customer wrote that they had been using Packard's since a first remodel 25 years earlier, and that Mary and her staff worked to get what they wanted without breaking the bank. Two credentials sit on the profiles. BBB gives the company an A+ while noting it is not BBB accredited, and Houzz lists an NKBA certification with 16-plus years of membership — the directory's listing rather than anything checked here. The catch is volume. Three written accounts spread across ten years is thin, however consistent they are. And the design and cabinetry are only part of what a kitchen costs: the installation sits on somebody else's contract. If you want a designer who will sit down over the layout and hand a clean plan to your own builder, this is that kind of shop. Ask which of the six cabinetry lines fits your budget, and settle early who is holding the installation contract.

“Kitchen Designer - Packard's Kitchens (Current)”
We recently worked with Donna from Packard's Kitchens on a kitchen remodel and she was extremely helpful and just all around great to work with. We had a vague idea of what we wanted when we went into the project, but there are so many things to consider in terms of layout, material, colors, cabinet hardware, and more that it just felt overwhelming. Donna really helped us think through all the details in a way that felt collaborative and easy. We'd been working with another kitchen designer initially who didn't really seem all that engaged, just showed us a few options and told us to pick one. Donna seemed genuinely excited to work through the details of our project with us. It was a pleasure working with her and I cannot recommend her enough.
We have been using Packard's Kitchens since our 1st remodel 25 years ago. Mary and her staff are always pleasant and extremely accommodating . They will work with you to get what you are looking for without breaking the bank.
Worked with Mary Packard on a kitchen renovations. The project went smoothly, no problems from start to finish. Mary really listened and came up with a design that was exactly what we were looking for, really helped us to make the most of our space and stayed within our budget. Packard's kitchens worked directly with our contractor, making it a very stress free renovation.
