John's Fuel Oil, Inc. describes itself as a discount heating fuel provider in Western Massachusetts with full-service capabilities, and a 2024 customer who said they had used the company for the past 30 years wrote that John and Mena were very quick to respond to any concerns or emergencies with their furnace. That 2024 customer closed by wishing them a happy retirement. A 2019 customer of a little over seven years said John installed their central air system and did the spring cleaning on their furnace. On Google the company holds 4.3 stars from 12 ratings. A 2017 customer said the woman answering the phone was rude and sounded annoyed by their call for boiler service, even as an existing customer; that 2017 customer called another company, which came out the same day. In a 2018 review, a reviewer said their parents had been ordering oil from the company for a year, and had placed and paid for an order when, two hours later, the father got a call telling him to come get the money back. That 2018 reviewer said that at the shop the father was told “it’s to difficult to turn around in your driveway,” and called the treatment unprofessional. A 2014 customer who said they had done business with the company for 40 years wrote that, needing oil before going in for surgery, they were told to find another vendor.
We've used John's Fuel for the past 30 years. John and Mena have always been a pleasure to speak with. They are very quick to respond with any concerns or emergencies that have arrived with our furnace. I wish to thank them for their loyalty to their customers and wish them a very happy, well deserved retirement! We will truly miss you and the dedication you gave your customer family!
I have been a customer of John’s Fuel Oil, Inc for a little over 7 years. John has always provided professional and excellent service. Always very helpful, polite and very knowledgeable about, oil, furnaces, and HVAC systems. John has installed my central air system and does the spring cleaning on my furnace as well. And I have always been happy with the service and the fair prices that he provided.
POOR SERVICE. My parents have been ordering oil from them for a year. Last week they went to place their order, paid and went home. Two hours later my father received a call and the owner said come get your money back. My dad was so flustered he went back to the shop and asked why and the owner said “it’s to difficult to turn around in your driveway”. My father said the man was so unprofessional. He took his money and walked out in disbelief. HORRIBLE service. My parents are hard working people who were treated so poorly by this company.
The woman answering the phone was rude from the beginning, sounded annoyed by my call for Boiler Service (yes exsisting customer). Not sure why you'd employ a customer facing employee that treats your customers this way. Yes, I called another company, they came out today to resolve the issue - and did so without an attitude. Happy to give them my money!
