A porch came apart in the 2026 blizzard. In a March 2026 review the owner said Karma Builders answered very quickly, came out and assessed the damage, told them it could be fixed, and had it done in a short time.
Karma Builders is a general contractor run by Herve, working out of the New Bedford area across Dartmouth, Fairhaven, Swansea, Seekonk, Westport, Taunton, Attleboro and into Providence. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, number 217921, is verified active with the state under Karma Builders LLC. The site lists home remodeling, kitchen and bathroom work, additions, custom builds, decks and porches, and window and door installation.
The jobs customers describe match that list. In March 2026 one had vinyl siding done in Swansea, another had a window, a door and siding replaced in Fairhaven, and a third had a kitchen remodelled there. A January 2026 customer in Seekonk had a bathroom remodelled from demolition through to the final details, and another that month had a kitchen finished to the project deadline. A March 2026 customer had their mother's floors redone in place of heavy cracked 2007 tile and said the team helped them choose the replacement. A December 2025 customer had front stairs and a porch built. During the same February 2026 blizzard, three customers had driveways, walkways and cars dug out.
Communication and tidiness come up repeatedly. A November 2025 customer said the crew was on time and respectful and cleaned the yard every day before leaving. A January 2026 customer said the timelines were realistic and the work was done exactly as agreed. A March 2026 painting customer said the lines were clean, the coverage perfect, and everything left spotless.
Two things are worth knowing about the written history before you weigh it. All of it is recent: every review on file was posted in 2025 or 2026. And not all of it comes from customers. A June 2026 reviewer describes meeting Herve and his wife where the reviewer works and says they will call him when they need a bathroom refinished. A March 2026 reviewer writes as the hardwood floor subcontractor on the company's jobs. Several others are phrased as search listings, one calling the company the top-rated general contractor in New Bedford and addressing readers looking for the best contractor in New Bedford for home remodeling.
For siding, windows and doors, a deck or porch, or a kitchen or bathroom around New Bedford and the South Coast towns, customers describe a crew that turns up, keeps the site clean and finishes when it said it would. Ask for addresses of finished jobs near you and get the scope in writing before any deposit.
