Keyes North Atlantic has run out of the same Newton address since the early 1950s, and the company says the same family still owns it, with Susan Keyes now serving as President & CEO. It's a design-build shop built around HVAC, electrical, and alarm/fire-alarm work for homes and businesses across the Greater Boston area — the kind of outfit people call for a full system swap, not just a patch job. The most recent reviews back that up. In July 2026, a homeowner whose "entire system quit" had Keyes replace both the heating and AC units, calling the job quick and reasonably priced and adding that the company responds fast whenever something comes up afterward. A May 2026 review echoes the same note — an efficient crew that kept the customer updated throughout. Both are five-star, and the last six months show no negative reviews at all. Pull back further and the picture gets more mixed. Google puts the average at 3.6 stars across 17 ratings, and the consumer-research site Checkbook.org counts 29 ratings with 76% rating the company "superior" overall — but its reviewers also flag it as "expensive." The Better Business Bureau lists an A+ letter grade, though Keyes is explicitly not a BBB-accredited business, which is worth knowing since the grade alone can read as more official than it is. Pricing is the one recurring thing worth asking about before booking — get a written estimate up front, since it's the specific word Checkbook.org's own reviewers used. Beyond that, Keyes backs its HVAC and heat-pump work with a handful of industry ties: ACCA membership, NFPA affiliation, UL-certified technicians, and enrollment in the Mass Save Heat Pump Installer Network. For a straightforward heating, cooling, or electrical replacement from a long-running local shop, Keyes is a reasonable call — just confirm the estimate in writing given the "expensive" feedback, and treat the sub-4-star average as a reason to ask for specifics rather than a dealbreaker by itself.

Keyes North Atlantic successfully delivered on 2 projects for my home: A new heat pump/hvac system installation and electrical upgrades. Both teams (HVAC and Electric) had leads who were great communicators, the hands-on technicians worked professionally, provided updates on progress, and completed the projects to my satisfaction in a timely manner. I highly recommend them, and I plan to work with them again in the near future.
