Kitchen Living LLC describes itself as a Connecticut-based kitchen company that pairs modern design software with a range of products, and its website claims 15 years in business. A recent customer said Matt was frequently onsite for the kitchen and laundry cabinet installation and the quartz countertop and backsplash installation, working with the general contractor. That customer said one quartz slab went back to the stone fabricator twice, and that Matt's measurements were spot on while the fabricator made the mistakes. The same customer said Matt had any cabinet delivered with even the smallest imperfection replaced. A recent customer said the staff worked with them throughout 2025 on the design and materials, and stayed with their contractor through the end of the project. A 2026 customer said Katelyn helped maximize the existing footprint in a kitchen, dining room and half-bath refresh and managed the timelines with the contractor. A 2026 customer said Matt helped bring a built-in table and breakfast nook to life in their 1950s colonial reproduction home. A 2025 customer said Bill installed the cabinets and the backsplash. A 2024 customer said their 380-square-foot kitchen was gutted and the mudroom redesigned. A 2023 customer said Kitchen Living coordinated the demo of the old kitchen, the new cabinetry and the new countertops. A 2023 customer said Matt responded within 15 minutes when plans needed explaining on a holiday weekend Sunday afternoon. A 2022 customer described a complete gut remodel of the kitchen in a 230-year-old house, and said Katelyn alerted them to issues with the countertop they first chose and guided them to another manufacturer. On Google the company holds 5 stars from 51 ratings, and Houzz shows 5.0 stars from 72 ratings. Its Connecticut home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0641670, is active on the state registry under Kitchen Living LLC.
Working with Kitchen Living’s owners Matt and Casandra Modglin was an outstanding experience from the start to the completion of our beautiful new kitchen and laundry room. What we most admired about both Matt and Casandra was their calm, patience, attention to detail and their being solution oriented. Home renovations requiring the homeowner to move out is stressful. So when you have contractors with different expertise and interior design professionals who “get along”, respect and work well with other contractors, it makes for an outstanding experience and final result. Matt was frequently onsite for the kitchen and laundry cabinet installation and the quartz countertop and backsplash installation working hand-in-hand with the general contractor. Mutual respect is so important. For example, one large quartz slab was sent back twice to the stone fabricator. Once because a piece of wood, not matching stone, was installed on the underside of the overhang section of the bar-top. It went back a second time because the hole for the outlet popup was drilled in the wrong location. Matt’s measurements were spot on, the fabricator messed up. If a cabinet was delivered with even the smallest imperfection Matt had it replaced. Both Casandra and Matt were also very responsive when we called or emailed them with questions regarding the project which is something that is of great importance to us. All I can say is if you choose Kitchen Living for your project, I have no doubt that you will end up writing them a stellar review like this one.
Kitchen Living LLC did an amazing job with our kitchen! From the initial design to the finished project, everything was handled professionally and with great attention to detail. They transformed the space into something beautiful and functional, and we’re really happy with how it turned out. Definitely recommend them!
We had a wonderful experience working with Matt and Cassandra at Kitchen Living. They were knowledgeable, patient, and attentive throughout the entire design process. They listened carefully to what we wanted and helped us create a kitchen that is both beautiful and functional. Their ideas, attention to detail, and clear communication made the process much easier than we expected. We highly recommend Matt, Cassandra, and the entire Kitchen Living team!
It was a true pleasure to work with Katelyn and the staff at Kitchen Living LLC. We met the owners at a home show at Casino on Valentine's day 2025 and instantly felt a strong connection. Our instincts were good as we could not be more pleased with how our kitchen remodel came out. The staff worked with us throughout 2025 to create the design and select the materials. They patiently worked through our many revisions. They continued to work closely with us and our contractor through the end of the project.
We recently worked with Kitchen Living to complete a kitchen/dining room/half-bath refresh. Due to the layout of the house, Katelyn helped us maximize the existing footprint. She was an absolute pleasure to work with as she managed the timelines with the contractor. Katelyn kept us informed of each step along the way and was extremely patient with my endless questions and design decision making. We are extremely pleased the results and would highly recommend Kitchen Living to anyone planning such a project!
