Verified record
KSC Contractors is a Waltham, MA renovation company run by Ken Corb, and its written record — which stretches from 2013 through 2024 — centers on one specialty above all: safely removing lead paint from older New England homes. The Better Business Bureau lists the company as a full service renovation shop offering remodeling services and general home repairs, and gives it an A+ rating. The deleading reviews are detailed and span more than a decade. In a 2024 review, a customer said Ken 'helped remove and cover up lead paint in our house,' got the job done in two days, and 'passed a state mandated lead dust wipe test on the first try.' In a 2020 review, another homeowner described 'lead abatement work which meant he had to replace a significant number of windows (15) in our very old house built in 1700s.' In a 2016 review, someone who needed lead-painted cedar shakes stripped before residing wrote that 'One layer of paint contained lead so I obtained several quotations from lead paint contractors to remove the shakes' and picked Ken because his was the lowest. A separate 2016 reviewer who hired him to de-lead a house in Brookline called him 'an expert in his field,' and a 2014 review described him as 'a master tradesman.' The one thing worth flagging on timing: nothing in the written record shown here is newer than October 2024, so it's worth confirming the company is still actively taking on lead-abatement work before relying on the star average alone. For safely removing lead paint from an older home — including the state clearance testing that comes with it — this is a contractor with a long, well-documented history of doing exactly that; confirm current availability and scheduling directly given the gap since the newest review on file.
Great and quick work!! Very communicative!
Quick response to my inquiry. Good communication throughout the process. Work completed within estimated time.
Very communicative
Ken helped remove and cover up lead paint in our house. He got the job done in two days and passed a state mandated lead dust wipe test on the first try. He has great communication skills, which is something that can sometimes be hard to come by depending on the contractor.
Ken was amazing!!! His customer service is outstanding. I hired Ken as I was in the process of selling my house and the buyer needed a Lead Certification. I called Ken to see if he can come out and do the deleading job as the closing was less than 3 weeks away. He was able to quickly get the job done in time (only 1 day whereas other contractors said 2 days). He was extremely reasonably price (one the very low end of the quotes I got). There was one quote that was lower, but given his customer service he had provided I went with Ken and it was a great decision. He was able to schedule a lead inspector for the same day and we passed the inspection. I actually needed his assistance with another job small job in order for me to sell the house (not lead related). He was able to go back to my home the very next day and get what I needed!! Again, his price was extremely reasonable. He could have charged me a lot given my time crunch but he did not which I am very appreciative of. I would not at all hesitate to hire him again if the situation arose. HIGHLY RECOMMEND USING KEN!!
