LaBarge Homes

The public trail on LaBarge Homes runs mostly through Cape Cod's design press rather than its review pages. It's a custom home building company headquartered at 237 Main Street on Route 28 in West Harwich, with a satellite office on Commercial Street in Provincetown. Todd and Lori LaBarge established the company, by its own account, around making the home building journey efficient, comprehensive and enjoyable; alongside new construction it says it also handles ongoing property care and real estate services. Cape Cod LIFE has covered its work twice — a 2023 piece pairing it with A3 Architects on a historic home, and a 2024 story crediting the company with a renovation the magazine called daunting. The Cape Cod Times reported in 2023 that a LaBarge project engineer was running a rebuild for two sisters from Orleans, and back in 2007 the paper reported that co-owner Lori LaBarge had received the American Business Women's Association of Cape Cod's Woman Entrepreneur of the Year award. Customer voices are scarcer. Google holds a single rating, five stars: in July 2026 a homeowner wrote that a tired and dated space came back as a "serene retreat" and credited the craftsmanship and the staff assigned to the project. One review is one review, and it can't tell you how the company handles a job that goes sideways. So: a builder with a visible presence in Cape Cod's shelter magazines and very little written homeowner history to read alongside it. If you're planning a new build or a whole-house renovation on the Lower Cape, ask for references from recent projects and a walk-through of a finished home before you sign anything.
