Lakes Region Chimney Pro

Two smiling Gentlemen just left here from Lales Region Chimney Pro -- leaving our hearts lighter and spilling over with gratitude. They quickly assessed issues with a chimney, climbed onto the roof, remedied problems brought on by some mischievious squirrels, and were on their way. Carrie, the office manager who coordinated the inspection, was just as delightful. They all radiate skill, good will and dedication to their custmers and their enterprise. We are GRATEFUL and appreciative. I suppose we should thank the squirrels for creating a need to learn about Lakes Region Chimney Pro. All's well...as the saying goes.

We're scheduled to have our roof replaced in a few months. Our roofer expressed some concern with our stainless chimney cap as the flat top was somewhat inverted and holding water after each rainstorm. Our roofer doesn't do this type of work but he highly recommended reaching out to Lakes Region Chimney Pro. Carrie answered my call, she was immediately helpful (and extremely personable) in setting up a site visit with Ryan from their company the following week. A very friendly Ryan arrived on time (yes - you read that right - on time) and quickly set-up a ladder and we went up on the roof. He carefully assessed the situation and advised that while his company could supply a new chimney cap, he felt it wasn't necessary and instead recommended adding some flat stock steel to the underside of the cap to raise it just enough to ensure drainage of any water that would otherwise gather there. He further suggested this might be something I'd consider tackling myself given it's a rather simple solution. All the while he said Lakes Region Chimney Pro would be happy to handle whatever I needed them to. He said they'd send a proposal to complete this modification and, before leaving, told me everything I needed to know to do the work myself...including where to purchase the flat stock (Lowes), dimensions, etc. He also suggested if I had difficulty getting Lowe's to cut it, I could stop by his business and they could help with that. At NO time did Ryan appear more interested in securing work than he did in providing good advice. Last week I headed to Lowe's. They had the steel but advised that they no longer provided cutting services for this product. I remembered Ryan's offer and, steel in tow, I made the short trip from Lowe's to Lakes Region Chimney Pro's place of business. I arrived in the late afternoon, well aware they might have left for the day. I was fortunate to find Josh in his truck, about to leave. I explained my meeting with Ryan, that Lowe's no longer would cut the steel, and I was hoping someone there could help me with that. As friendly person #3, Josh immediately agreed to help and jumped out of his truck. He retrieved a grinder and made the two cuts I needed. I asked to pay. He said no. The purpose of this post is to explain my interaction with a company that was 3 for 3 in terms of my service hopes. No services they provided resulted in a job for them but all of it resulted in a potential customer that came away more than impressed, ready to recommend them, and hopeful that this review will result in many times more business for Lakes Region Chimney Pro than they ever would have gotten through me. Give them a call if you need any work involving a chimney or fireplace.

We have had multiple bad experiences with Chimney Pro. It started with them ordering the wrong size custom cap for our Chimney. After they re-ordered the cap, then Chimney Pro cut down the ceramic flue tiles for the wood stove and fire place, installed the cap and smoke poured into the house when we made our first fire in the wood stove. Chimney Pro then said that the wood stove flue needed to be relined. After getting opinions from other Chimney companies, we learned that Chimney Pro never should have cut down the flue tiles even which allowed smoke from one flue to be pulled down the other flue. In addition, the cap just trapped the smoke! The raised ceramic flue tiles had enabled the wood stove and fireplace to be used without issues since the cabin was built in 1987! We then got the owner Mike involved. His team removed the custom cap and relined the wood stove. We found a mason to raise the flues tile again to keep smoke from one flue being pulled down the other flue. Now, we are hearing that the Wood Stove flue liner, which Chimney Pro installed, was ovalized and isn't to code!!! Three years later, we will have to pay another chimney company to raise the chimney and reline both flues including the one that Chimney Pro installed since it doesn't meet code. We wasted thousands of dollars and time with Chimney Pro. Don't use them!

June 10th 2026 Had Scotr and his crew do a new chimney liner for a wood stove and some cap work. I'm a retired contractor so you know I'm going to be picky. They were awesome and price was fair not like the other pirates that I reached out too. I highly recommend this company. Russ Fisette
