Sixty-four Google ratings, all averaging five stars, and one object keeps coming up: a table. Lighthouse Woodworks builds custom furniture out of a shop at 175 William F McClellan Hwy in East Boston — farm tables, dining tables, benches, barstools, beds and dressers, made to order rather than pulled off a showroom floor. Its BBB profile dates the LLC to April 2017, names Lucas Jablonski as owner, and counts six employees. The through-line in what customers write is the process, not the sales pitch. People describe going to the shop, choosing the wood and the style in person, and staying in the loop while the piece was built. A 2022 reviewer had white oak salvaged from a Kentucky barn turned into a farmhouse table after visiting the East Boston woodshop. A 2021 customer ordered two dining tables for two different houses and said the shop held both pieces while their construction ran late. Back in 2017, a homeowner had a built-in entry bench redone after another contractor's version missed, and an old piece of cherry cut into three shelves. Service after delivery shows up too: a 2021 buyer of a reclaimed-wood table found a hole in the top, and the shop sent a woodworker out to repair it. Two practical things to settle before ordering. Time: a 2021 customer's custom table took roughly two and a half months, and that buyer's point was that the timeframe had been quoted upfront — ask for the same number in writing. Finish: the same reviewer's one criticism was that the table was finished on top but not underneath, so confirm what surfaces get sealed. Houzz puts a typical job in the $1,000-10,000 range, which tracks with one-off custom pieces rather than volume work. The written history is real but aging. Twenty-two reviews across four sources run from 2017 to 2024, with the Houzz set clustered in 2017-2018 and the newest written comment from March 2024 — the platform averages stay at 5.0 on both Google and Houzz, and the BBB page carries an A+ grade while noting the company is not BBB accredited, with no complaints or government actions listed. That is a consistent record, just not a current one. If you want a specific dining table, bar, or built-in built from wood you picked out, this is a shop set up for exactly that conversation. Nail down the delivery window and the finish spec before you put money down.
Great work and craftsmanship
It has been an absolute pleasure collaborating with the Lighthouse Woodworks team on numerous tables for our interior design projects! Their attention to detail and craftsmanship is extraordinary, producing handcrafted custom furniture that is beautiful and built to last. We love supporting local, family-oriented furniture designers such as Lighthouse Woodworks, because the these furniture pieces are built to last, from timber lumbered or salvaged from the US. Such a great team and we look forward to collaborating with them again in the future!
My husband and I absolutely love, love the farmhouse table that Lighthouse Woodworks built for us out of white oak planks that were salvaged from a Kentucky barn. We visited their expansive woodworking shop in Boston and were impressed not only with the shop, but the time that Lucas spent with us, sharing what he could do and making sure that he met our needs. He and Dan sent us pictures along the way and had the table delivered to us in a timely manner( just over 30 days). This was an amazing feat considering we live on Nantucket Island. We had researched tables in other big name, high end stores. The price and quality that Lighthouse gave us out did everyone else. It will outlast us, our children, and our grandchildren. And it has CHARACTER! Thank you Lighthouse Woodworks.
Working with Daniel, Jonas, and the rest of the Lighthouse team exceeded our expectations from start to finish! We came to them with a specific vision in mind which they brought to life through thoughtful design discussions, deep expertise, and amazing craftsmanship. The beautiful teak turned-leg table they created is the perfect centerpiece for our home. Couldn’t have asked for a better all-around experience or more impressive finished product - we will be back!
Easy to work with and amazing product!! My kitchen table came out better then we imagined!! Highly recommend!
