That is the kind of call Magnifico Bros gets. The company works out of 31 Forest Street in Middleton and has been in business 15 years, according to its BBB profile. Its BuildZoom permit profile names Justin A. Magnifico, a plumber, and Mark B. Magnifico, the owner, with 612 permitted projects behind them — roughly 90 in the last three years, mostly plumbing, in towns including Manchester, Rowley and Topsfield. The Massachusetts plumber licence 3266-PL-C is active on the state registry. Two customers wrote about water heater replacements. One, in February 2026, called the company communicative, quick to schedule and install, and well priced. In an April 2023 review, another said Mark ordered the new heater from the specifications of the old one, installed it 24 hours later, took the failed unit away and left an invoice the customer called reasonable. The work is not all emergencies. An April 2026 reviewer said Mark and his team sorted out last-minute issues with the sale of their house, arriving quickly and working around the family's schedule. An August 2023 customer hired a crew of three for a batch of plumbing jobs including a gas line for a fireplace insert, and described them as on time, polite and thorough about cleaning the work area. More than half of the fourteen Google reviews mention how fast they answer or arrive. A January 2026 customer said inquiries get a prompt reply and the crew comes the same day or the next; a landlord writing in December 2025 had been using Mark and his team for ten years. The Google average sits at 4.9 across 16 ratings. For a water heater, a boiler, or the gas piping that goes with them, this is a straightforward call north of Boston. Get the scope and the price in writing before work starts, and ask for proof of insurance on anything bigger than a repair.
