Mario's Oil delivers heating oil and services oil-fired furnaces out of Everett, Massachusetts, covering towns from Chelsea and Revere up through the North Shore into Salem and Peabody. The company says it was founded in 2006, remains family-owned, and answers calls in both English and Spanish — a detail several Spanish-speaking reviewers point out on their own. Across 22 Google reviews dating back to 2021, most are glowing on one point: speed. "Delivered next morning," "delivery right away," and "received oil same day" are recurring lines, and in a January 2026 review, a customer who said she'd cycled through roughly ten different oil suppliers over five years called Mario's Oil the most honest and reliable of the bunch. A couple of older reviews, from 2021, also credit a burner tune-up with making their furnace run more efficiently. Its BBB profile carries an A+ letter grade, though the company is not BBB-accredited. The praise isn't the whole story. In a review from this past February, and again in one from 2024, two long-time customers separately accused the company of under-filling their oil deliveries — one saying a supposed 100-gallon order only ever amounted to about 75 gallons. A separate 2024 review describes a technician quoting $3,500 to fix a leaking oil tank that the customer says he then repaired himself for under $1,000, and another customer using a heating-assistance program said she was routinely placed last on the delivery route. One more, from 2024, says the company refused a service call because no oil had been ordered from them since the previous December. For a routine delivery or a seasonal tune-up, the volume of fast, friendly-service reviews speaks for itself. Given the repeated under-filling complaints, though, it's worth asking the driver to confirm the gallons pumped, or checking the tank gauge yourself, especially on a first order.
Very good company
My family used this oil company for years, but we noticed later realized they weren’t putting in the full amount. Who knows how long this had been going on. They even came a week earlier than expected to fill up while I was on vacation for 10 days. Very dishonest business.
Extremely reliable and great service!
Im very upset and hurt I feel Because I was being helped by program to receive heat oil Im made to wait up to three days and when they do finally decide to come it's always very late and I'm last on the list the secretary told me that the driver can do what he wants and show up on his own time she treated me like trash but when I paid cash out my Pocket over a month ago they came with in two hours same day I think that is so evil I have kids here and health condition and Im going thru a lot and it's about 7 degrees out and it's been 3 days we have froze in this house with only one electric heater because I'm on fixed income and paid other bills I couldn't afford to buy another heater or pay them cash for oil heat right now streets are clear and it's not snowing theres no excuse it makes me sick to my stomach to treat a human being that way the driver told me an hour and he was only 15 minutes away from my home and changed his route to go delivery to others people who in another city that's 25 30 minutes away and the secretary is rude I'm changing vender after tonight I'm so traumatized and cold 😢
I have worked with one or two different oil technicians and home heating suppliers every year over the past 5 years (i.e. about 10 different businesses) since I moved to Chelsea MA at the end of 2020. Mario’s Oil is by far the most friendly, honest and competent business I have had the pleasure of working with. Each employee I have spoken with is empathetic, keen, and punctual. I hope we get to work with them for as long as we live in Chelsea.
