On its BBB profile, the company describes itself as providing fiberglass and vinyl-liner pools, with design, installation, refurbishing and maintenance services. Its own website says it has been in business for 39 years, and its BBB page shows an A+ grade. A 2022 customer said Marquee installed a fiberglass pool for the family in 2020 and that they kept using the company for regular service, opening and closing. A 2022 customer who hired Marquee during COVID, after interviewing two other pool builders, said they liked Jim's directness about time, the process and the investment, and that they were using Marquee for weekly cleaning and pool chemical checks. A 2025 customer said Jim addressed any problem that arose immediately and was careful with their budget. A 2025 customer said the company fixed their salt system sooner than expected. A 2024 customer with a major algae problem at that year's pool opening said Carla kept troubleshooting and checking in until it was resolved. A 2022 customer said their pool took almost a year to arrive, was installed improperly and unlevel, and that the company would not answer calls or provide the winter cover that was part of the contract. A 2023 customer wrote that a heater Marquee installed in 2020 corroded, which two other companies tied to the lack of a bypass, and that they could never get the company back to service its own work. A 2025 customer complained of really bad service that year, saying the technician was there five minutes and only tested the water. Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0648127, as active, held by Marquee Pools and Service Inc.
Jim and his team were absolutely outstanding! They completed our pool project in record time and exceeded all of our expectations. Jim was responsible, friendly, and always professional. If any problem arose, he addressed it immediately and made sure everything was done right. We especially appreciated how careful he was with our budget—he truly treated our money as if it were his own. I would highly recommend Jim and his team to anyone looking for quality workmanship, honesty, and efficiency. They made the entire process easy and enjoyable! Our pool is gorgeous!

We bought a house with a pool and have been through with two other pool companies until we switched to Marquee. I am so happy with their customer service, I have gotten to know almost all the technicians and pool cleaners and office staff. This is the third season of servicing my pool.
Marquee goes above and beyond for their customers. We had a major algae problem with this year’s pool opening. Carla led the charge with her top notch customer service, tirelessly troubleshooting and checking in until resolution. She’s amazing because she cares. Thanks to Jim for his wise advise and to Malcolm and the team for their magic on site.
