Meade with six employees, and it says it has been moving people since 1977 — 49 years. On Google it holds 4.8 stars across 18 ratings, and the Better Business Bureau grades it A+. Reachability is the other thing reviewers describe. A 2022 customer wrote that you get the owner on the phone rather than an operator; another that year said he came on site the same day to work out how to pack. A January 2022 reviewer said the four men who moved them to a new apartment were conscientious, and named Carlos and Thiago. Going further back, a 2013 account on a local business site described a Sunday call-out, a truckload of furniture carried up to a third-floor apartment with no elevator, handled by two men. The work goes beyond household moves. BBB lists packing, crating, loading and delivery including pianos and safes, and the company's own site adds storage, fine furniture and commercial work. Its stated service area runs from Boston, Quincy and Milton down the South Shore to Cohasset and Duxbury, and out to Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket. For a specialty piece — the hot tub, the piano, the safe, the thing that needs a crane — this is a strong South Shore call. Settle the rigging or crane charge and any island ferry cost inside the written quote, and ask what valuation coverage applies to a high-value item before the truck loads.
