Meadowline Construction — which also trades as Meadow Line Co and is filed on Angi under the entity name RYAL JP LLC — is a Needham Heights builder working across Greater Boston. Its own site describes new residential homes and subdivisions alongside commercial construction, and its two showcased projects are a 26-house subdivision at Silver Hollow Estates and the conversion of a tired rest home at 75 Norumbega Road in Weston into a substance use disorder facility. Ken Chase runs the building side; on LinkedIn he describes pairing his development company, Cedarbrook Homes, with Meadowline as the builder. The four reviews on file are all from March and April 2025 and all five stars. The most detailed came from a new-build client who wrote that the company covered gaps left by other parties in the project and, although the home warranty ran a year, kept sending people back to deal with items as the house settled, with senior staff including Ken staying reachable long after handover. A second client had a guesthouse renovated and described a team that took time to understand the brief. A third hired them for finish carpentry — extensive doorwork and moulding — after seeing a full renovation they had done on a nearby house. A fourth, on a $700,000 purchase, described being kept in the loop at every step. What runs through all four is follow-through after the job and being kept informed during it — unusual emphases for a home builder, and the reason the thin record still reads well. Two things to pin down before hiring. The public record is genuinely small: four reviews, all within two months of each other, on a single platform, with no rating anywhere else. And the company's credentials are asserted rather than shown — its Angi profile lists 'Construction Supervisor Licensee and Home Improvement Contractor' without giving either number, and no registry-verified licence appears on this profile, so ask for the numbers and check them against the state registry yourself. Its stated tenure — 17 years on Angi — is also its own claim. For a new build, a subdivision home or a substantial renovation in the Needham, Weston and Wayland area, this is a builder whose few clients speak specifically and warmly about what happened after the keys changed hands. Ask for the licence numbers and a couple of recent local addresses to visit.
“Real Estate Developer Builder - Meadowline / Newmeadow (Current)”
“By integrating Cedarbrook Homes LLC with Meadowline Construction as the builder, we can construct quality homes efficiently and at competitive costs.”
I'm very pleased with the renovations Ken and his team completed on my guesthouse. From start to finish, they were professional, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering quality work. They took the time to understand my vision and executed it beautifully, creating a space that I truly love. The team was skilled, respectful, and easy to work with, which made the experience much less stressful than I had expected. If you're considering a home renovation, I'd definitely recommend Ken and his team. They did a great job, and I'm thrilled with the outcome.
There are so many players involved in a home build including the lawyers, developer, contractors, sub trades (hvac, plumbing, elextric, etc), inspectors, etc but the builder is that key that will make the difference of whether it's a good, better or best situation. Meadowline made up for some really big gaps of some of the other counterparties involved in our home construction and built out a quality home. They didn't cut those proverbial corners and even though the home warranty was a year, they would still send folks over to address inevitable items when the house was settling. Clearly, they care about quality and their brand. They stood behind their work and some of the more senior contacts like Ken made themselves available well after I received my new keys. This isn't an easy business for sure but nice to know there are still enterprises that stand behind their work and think about the long game instead of the quick $!
Great company with the clients interests always in mind. Very transparent every step of the way. Truly felt like I was part of the team through the whole process and it made our purchase that much more special!
We had a finish carpentry project with extensive doorwork and molding needed. They showed up on time, prepared and did an excellent job. We evaluated them as a result of seeing their work in a nearby neighborhood house. That house was fully renovated and the work was significant, detailed and outstanding. I was happy they could help with our project.
