MicroGARD works on mold testing and removal. On Thumbtack, the company describes itself as offering home mold assessments since 2010. A 2023 customer said Kerry arrived within 2 days with his meters to find where the water under a sagging kitchen floor was coming from, and that Kerry and his crew removed the cabinets and remediated the mold. A 2023 customer said MicroGard was hired for a mold remediation job in the kneewall areas of their bedrooms, and that 10 months later everything was holding up. In 2022, a customer said Kerry found mold on the surface only with no moisture in the walls, then removed the mold and treated the wall. A 2025 customer said Kerry inspected their basement, found an old instrument case with mold on it, and told them no remediation was needed. A 2025 customer was not happy with a bedroom remediation: they said it cost $4,250 for 5 hours of work, that plastic barriers taped to the walls pulled paint and plaster off, and that they later found mold on a closet baseboard that had been missed.
