Mike's Factory Direct is a Westport, Connecticut showroom on Kings Highway North that sells and services hot tubs and spas, and also designs and supplies cabinetry. The company's site says it has been in business 27 years and lists lic # 0651129 and lic #30578. It holds 4.7 stars from 306 Google ratings, 4.7 from 19 on Houzz and 4.9 from 18 on Thumbtack, and the Better Business Bureau lists an A+ grade. On the sales side, Bill is the name customers bring up: several reviews from 2024 to 2026 credit him with explaining the options, and a March 2026 review named him as salesman Bill Girardi and praised Silvia, who handles the appointment schedule. A December 2024 customer said Bill explained plug-and-play versus hardwired tubs without any pressure to buy more tub than needed. On service, recent reviews praise on-time, thorough technicians, including Byron in September 2026 and Jimmy Garcia in August 2026, and a March 2024 customer said a technician traced a heating problem to a circulator, installed it on the spot and charged a $225 service call. The cabinetry work centres on Pablo: three 2025 reviews describe his design help, and one said a kitchen cabinet match and a quartz remnant were done within 2 days. The complaints are about follow-through. Five 2-star reviews from July to September 2026 describe problems: a hot tub delivered nearly 3 months after the order with a damaged corner and wiring the customer then had to upgrade; delivery delays and cover bars not installed correctly; ten months waiting on a replacement for a faulty swim spa cover; a valet service that arrived two weeks late after several calls; and nearly $500 for two visits on a leak that the customer said was leaking more afterwards. A July 2024 review described five visits over three months and three wrong-colour jets before a leak was fixed, and an April 2022 review said deck damage from an installation was never repaired. Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0651129, as active, held by Mike's Factory Direct LLC.
“Prezioso said the investigation began on Nov. 7 when an employee of Mike’s Factory Direct on Kings Highway North contacted police to report a suspicious purchase.”

Excellent client service, we have a hot tub that was damaged by a tenant, and we got a thorough and detailed summary of the problems with our old tub. The technician arrived on time as promised and left the job site perfect and clean. Follow up was timely and if we buy a new hot tub, we will go through this excellent company.
The technician was on time.He did his job, he was thorough. He walked me through it.Highly recommended.Very happy with the service.Look forward to moving forward. And continuing the service with you guys!
Byron was very polite, professional and thorough. I enjoyed having him here to service my Jacuzzi.
Not excited!! I have a a leak somewhere not major but for some reason coming only in front of hot tub on floor. Got charged nearly $500 and charge for two visits and didn't get much accomplished. Very hard to get someone on the phone. I'm not excited by the service. Nice guys but not sure if they really know hot tubs. Still need to figure out my hot tub situation. And it's leaking more since second visit.
Will change this review when action is taken- it’s been ten months since the delivery of a high end swim spa cover, alas a faulty one. Months of coordinating not one but two different Maintenance teams to come out and check what’s up, both saying the cover itself is faulty, yet a replacement is taking another bunch of months. This place is claiming they need to deal with warranty from the manufacturer. As someone who is relentless in getting things done, I’m unclear why this wouldn’t be a followup call daily to get the new one delivered. Alas, still waiting and now getting ready to take legal action- product was paid for, faulty product delivered. This is simple. Replace the product in a timely matter. 🤷🏻♀️
