Minuteman Plumbing, Heating & Cooling works out of Cambridge, and the numbers around it are hard to ignore: 292 ratings on Google, currently averaging 5 stars, backed by an A rating and accreditation from the Better Business Bureau. People find them under plumbing, but just as many reviews describe boiler, furnace, water heater, and air-conditioning work, so this reads as a plumbing-and-HVAC operation rather than a plumber who occasionally touches heating. That pattern holds up in the last six months, when specifics can be checked against real jobs. In June, one review describes a leaky countertop faucet and an old multi-turn shut-off valve getting replaced, plus a separate look at a Navien system that was still working fine — the technician recommended skipping a flush rather than running up the bill. In May, one review credits John with arriving within 20 minutes to stop a boiler leak, and another describes a sump-pump swap that turned into an on-the-spot fix for a leaking garbage disposal and stuck sink valves once the technician was already on site. In March, a radiator purge valve that snapped the day after Thanksgiving got a callback in under 20 minutes and a same-day repair from Wayne K., who explained how the boiler worked before fixing it. Forty-one reviews landed in that six-month window and none are negative, consistent with a longer run of 281 reviews since 2024 spread across seven different sites, including Google and Angi. The one thing worth asking about upfront is cost on bigger repairs. One review describes a circulator-pump replacement running about $750, with a follow-up pipe repair quoted around $1,000 — enough that the customer chose to fix the pipe personally rather than pay for it, and Minuteman still came back afterward to get the system running again at no charge. Get a written estimate before anything beyond a basic repair starts. For a household that wants one crew for both plumbing and HVAC calls, this looks like a reasonable one to keep on file. Recent reviews put the wait for non-emergency work at around two days, so plan routine jobs a little ahead, and if a specific technician handled a past job well, it's worth asking whether they can be sent again.

We had Minuteman replace our leaky countertop sink faucet and old multi-turn stop valve. They had the right tools and expertise to do this job efficiently and effectively. They made no mess and were very personable to boot!

We also had them look at our Navien system and they advised us to consider the risks of flushing a unit that hadn’t been regularly serviced, but is working fine, and we decided to leave it as is…so their honest opinion wound up reducing their potential revenue…which to me demonstrates their company values…in a good way!

Technician was friendly, communicative, skilled, and respectful. Jobsite was left clean, and the whole process went smoothly. The work was completed to my expectations and in a timely manner. I would absolutely call Minuteman again.

Wayne did a great job for us this week. We needed a sump pump replaced on our outside patio, and we were able to get an appointment within two days of calling, even though it wasn't an emergency.

The day before the appointment, our garbage disposal started leaking and the sink shutoff valves stopped working. They had no problem adding those repairs to the list.

Wayne was respectful and even took his shoes off before entering the house without being asked. He has a friendly, non-imposing demeanor and never seemed bothered when I asked several questions throughout the job. The sump pump and valves he selected were top quality, which I was happy to pay for because they should last much longer than cheaper alternatives. I'm so glad we found this company. They clearly take the time to hire experienced, skilled, and respectful professionals. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again or recommend them to others.

Minuteman P&H has been great from the start. From the set up of my appointment to communicating all along with any needs or concerns I have had. My technician Jon was very knowledgeable with diagnosing & explaining the potential problems that were happening with my A/C & HVAC system, & what needs to be done going forward. I would recommend them to all!
