Pann Home Services works Cambridge-area plumbing and HVAC calls, and its Massachusetts plumbing license is active. The name shows up in Google reviews going back to 2021, with 196 written across five sites by mid-2026 — enough history that the last six months are a fair read on where things stand now. That recent stretch is heavy on same-day work. Billy talked a homeowner through a frozen-pipe emergency at 2am and kept following up until it was handled. When a customer's heat went out, Shane diagnosed the problem on the spot, even though a part had to be ordered for the next day. Another customer noticed a water heater leaking around noon and had a crew on site fixing it before 2pm. Across dozens of reviews from January through June 2026, names like Alex, Ryan, Nick, and Chris come up again and again for walking customers through a diagnosis before starting the work — on AC units, heat pumps, drains, and water heaters alike. Two recent reviews complicate that pattern. In June, a technician working on an AC and furnace system caused a gas leak that a customer's household didn't notice until they smelled it hours later; after three years as a customer, they said they were cancelling their service membership over it. In March, a customer who wanted a toilet snaked and a $35 flush valve replaced says the plumber pushed a full toilet swap instead, and that a manager wasn't willing to budge when they objected. A handful of otherwise satisfied reviewers separately mention that per-visit pricing felt high for short jobs. Pann is BBB accredited with an A+ rating, and its Google page averages 4.6 stars across 362 ratings — both in line with how most of the recent reviews read. Anyone booking a repair should get a firm price up front given the upselling and cost complaints, and should ask exactly what a service membership includes before signing on. For a plumbing or HVAC problem that needs same-day attention, the last six months suggest a crew that shows up quickly and explains what it's doing — just confirm scope and price before the work starts.

The Pann team, including Ryan and Alejandro, did an excellent job fixing and providing maintenance to our air conditioning system. They were prompt, knowledgeable, and professional. They answered all of my questions. Highly recommend.

While we felt very loyal to Pann for a while (we've used them for almost 3 years now) because we liked some of their technicians, we've been disappointed recently and are planning to cancel our membership with them:
1. We had our AC serviced last week and **the technician caused a gas leak** by accidentally bumping into our furnace and causing an issue with the pipe (and not saying anything about it so my partner and I noticed the gas smell several hours later)
2. We had an appointment today with them to check on another piece of our AC and no one showed up
3. A technician came to fix the gas leak yesterday and left abruptly, leaving our garage door open in the middle of Somerville/Cambridge;
4. We had an AC exhaust project done by Pann in which the solution was not up to city code so they were required to redo the whole thing.

All in all, we really wanted to stick with Pann--they are generally reliable and nice people--but the issues have piled up and it's gotten to a point where we want others to know. Sad to leave but the recent gas leak caused by one of their technicians was unacceptable. We are lucky things were resolved before anything major happened. *And* we paid $1500 for that servicing....

06/05/2014

What a wonderful day I had meeting Mike K. from Pann Home Services. My request was to have a carpenter arrive this morning and was scheduled for 9:00AM. I was contacted by Mike at 8:30AM stating he was on his way. Mike arrived on time, greeted me with a warm smile and a handshake thanking me for scheduling a service call. Once Mike entered my condo he put on his booties and listened to my issues. He was extremely knowledgeable and offered suggestions on how to approach each issue. I truly enjoyed meeting Mike K., you can tell he really enjoys his profession; he speaks very highly about the Pann Company, and meeting him today, has convinced me that I found the perfect full-service company to meet all my needs.

Thank you,
Connie Palmer

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

06/09/2014

Mike K. did a wonderful job coordinating a BIG project today requiring removal of kitchen appliances and re-install new appliances. He also coordinated a plumber to install the dishwasher at the same time, as well as doing carpentry work. This project took the entire day with a crew of four from PANN. All employees were very helpful, pleasant and very professional.

This project was very difficult because I had prior work done that entailed new kitchen counter tops and flooring from Home Depot. The job was so poorly done by Home Depot, that PANN had to take extra time to resolve all issues and obstacles they encountered with reinstalling new appliances.

Mike K went above and beyond to make sure things were running smoothly, and at the end of the day, everything was perfect, a job well planned and executed, outstanding clean-up and I was able to close the door behind me with a feeling of accomplishment. And I owe it all to Mike K., for making it happen. This man is more then just an employee; he knows the value behind Customer Service.

Thank you,
Connie Palmer

_______________________________
05/27/2026
Thank you for sending Nick Curtis, today to service my HVAC system. Nick was very knowledgeable, professional, extremely helpful with documenting the description of work completed along with recommendations.
