Mr. Fix It MetroWest is a Wellesley-based home-improvement company that combines plumbing with broad renovation and repair work. The company says Simon Haidar and his team run it, with more than 30 years of professional experience; its stated service area covers Wellesley, Weston, Wayland, Dover, Sherborn, Needham, Newton, Lincoln, Sudbury, Natick, Framingham, Norwood, Westwood, Belmont, and Waltham. The strongest thread in the written reviews is hands-on versatility. A 2025 Google reviewer wrote that Simon can do almost anything and do it well, while describing extensive exterior repairs and preparation work; another 2025 reviewer simply called the work quality good and the price reasonable. A 2024 review praised a fast computer repair, although that job is outside the core plumbing trade. The written history is small but consistently positive, and BBB lists the plumbing profile as A+ and accredited. For plumbing specifically, BBB lists boiler installation and repair, drain cleaning, gas services, plumbing installation, and plumbing repairs. The company's website also describes renovations, carpentry, electrical, painting, windows, decks, trim, closets, and related work. Its Massachusetts plumber license 4351-PL-C is registry-verified active. This is a plausible call for plumbing repairs that sit alongside broader home projects, especially across the stated MetroWest towns. Confirm the exact plumbing scope, the person assigned, and the estimate before booking when the job involves multiple trades.
Simon Haidar (Mr. Fix It) can do almost anything, and do it well. In 2019 he fixed the outside of my house - repaired cedar siding, sanded and stained the entire house, replaced six windows and a door, replaced multiple deck boards, sanded and stained that,, stabilized a leaning old garage, reroofed it, and replaced cracked old wooden shingles. This year he fixed the inside of the house to get ready for sale, demolishing a huge train layout, prepping and repainting multiple rooms, repairing wooden deck, buffing and polishing tile floors, replacing dog-chewed woodwork, patching drywall holes, replacing faulty recessed lights, etc., and clearing out the whole house. I believe he has a degree in mechanical engineering and brings a wealth of knowledge to his work. We had a leak at a skylight, and others had attempted in vain to fix it with caulk and even partial flashing and shingle replacement, but Simon was able to diagnose the problem as a small bent piece of metal from a tree fall and repair it for good! He supervises his employees closely to ensure that their work measures up to his high standards, and if anything is not satisfactory, he fixes it promptly.
Quality work at a reasonable price. Fully recommend.
Excellent service! My computer was fixed in about 10 minutes. He is very knowledgeable and patient with those of us who struggle with computer related issues. Highly recommended. Great asset to our new development area in Maynard.
