Jake's name comes up in five of the nine Google reviews posted since May 2026, usually beside the words knowledgeable and honest. Multi State Electric is a South Shore electrical contractor that says it has worked the area for over four decades; the site says it is owned and operated by Jake Howes, continuing a business his father started, and it handles residential and commercial service calls, installations, remodels and new construction wiring. The recent Google reviews are detailed. In a May 2026 review, a homeowner whose finished-basement lights went out on one side said Dave checked for simple fixes first, like a breaker that might not have looked tripped, found a faulty switch, and explained why switches placed that close together could wear. Another May 2026 reviewer said Jake found the house needed rewiring to bring it up to code, and the final cost matched the quote. In July 2026 a family needing an RV hooked up to their house said the company got back to them with a quote and was there the next day, with no hidden fees, and another customer described an emergency call answered faster than expected by Jake, David and Larry. The Angi and HomeAdvisor profiles each show 5.0 stars from 9 ratings. Reviews dated February 2026 there describe a dishwasher outlet rewired from the service panel, a pool outlet that meant digging trenches in 90-degree heat, the electrical work for a finished basement, and a same-day fix ahead of a storm. Google shows 5 stars from 22 ratings. Massachusetts electrician licence 9197-EL-A1, held by Multi-State Electric Corp, is active on the state registry. The company offers free estimates.

I can’t recommend Jake and the team at Multistate electrical enough. I had an electrical problem and within a week they had it diagnosed and fixed and at a very reasonable price. They are highly knowledgeable and professional and I will definitely contact them as needs arise on the future. A+
Multi-State Electric is an outstanding company to work with. They are thorough, efficient, professional, and truly know their trade. They responded to an electrical emergency at my home much faster than I expected, arrived well-prepared, and completed the repair quickly and correctly. Their attention to detail and professionalism gave me complete confidence in the work they performed. Jake and his team—David and Larry—were excellent to work with. They were courteous, knowledgeable, and took pride in both their appearance and their work. Their trucks and equipment were clean and well-organized, which reflects the pride they take in their business. If you’re looking for a reliable, professional electrical contractor, I highly recommend Multi-State Electric. They earned my trust, and I wouldn’t hesitate to call them again. Al
