Ned Stevens Gutter Cleaning — now operating nationally as Ned's Home — traces back to 1965, when a milkman named Ned Stevens started cleaning customers' gutters on his delivery route. The company has grown into a large, private-equity-owned operation (acquired by Cobepa in 2022) serving roughly 80,000 residential customers across 13 states, offering gutter cleaning, installation and repair alongside pest control, lawn treatment, window cleaning and power washing. The star averages posted on Google, Angi, HomeAdvisor and Best Pick Reports are all strong — 4.3 to 4.5 across thousands of ratings — and plenty of the written reviews back that up with real specifics: named crew members like Alfredo Gutierrez, Kevin and Uriel's team get credited for fast, professional gutter cleaning, installation and roof soft-washing, and several long-time customers describe years of reliable annual service. But look past the headline numbers and a real, recurring pattern shows up across dozens of reviews spanning 2023 through this year. Scheduling communication comes up again and again as a sore point — homeowners describe getting as little as five minutes' notice before a crew arrived, or no notice at all, sometimes while they weren't even home. A separate, repeated complaint is that customers can't verify the work happened: the company doesn't provide before-and-after photos, and more than one review describes a door tag claiming the job was complete while the gutters were still visibly full of leaves. A 2024 review said leaf guards installed by the company failed within about two years, just past the warranty window. And when Ned Stevens acquired a local company called Westchester Gutters, at least one long-term customer of that business said three scheduled appointments passed without their gutters ever getting cleaned. None of this means every job goes badly — the volume of specific, satisfied accounts is real, and the company's customer service is credited more than once with quickly fixing a problem once a customer complained. But the gap between the near-5-star averages advertised on review platforms and what the detailed written reviews actually describe is wide enough that it's worth going in with clear expectations: get a firm appointment window in writing, ask directly whether photos or some other proof of completed work will be provided, and follow up promptly if anything about a job seems off. For routine gutter cleaning in a market Ned Stevens already serves, this is a large, established operation with real capacity — just don't assume the scheduling and verification experience will match the platform star average without asking first.

I had my gutters cleaned by Ned's after finding them online and was so pleased. They cleaned off my roof as well. They suggested we get a metal cover for our chimney and came back to do this as well. Efficient, reliable and fairly priced!
Communication was fantastic, prices amazing. Customer service was responsive and quick to resolve any issues I had. Team did solid work both on gutter repair and window cleaning. Very satisfied with result and will continue to rely on Ned's!
Overall great job - very happy with them and they were the least expensive. Others try to sell me a whole new system, or other gutters not needed. Pricing was given over the phone via a satellite look up, I had one minor update to the cost and they got back to me very quickly and scheduled work within the week.
They did the job well; the communication about when they were coming was not good. I had to call and ask only to be told it would be the next day. Seems to be an odd way to work. But they did what needed to be done at a reasonable price.
The crew showed up while we were still sleeping the noice woke us up. I noticed my gutters were getting cleaned wish I didn't order the service. I emediatly spoke with crew and informed them they had to stop they payed no attention and continued to work and told me to call the office. When I called the office they asked to speak to one of the workers. The worker's informed your office that they had finished. Your office stated that had to review the original phone conversation and they would get back to me. Still waiting for a call back to determine the outcome.
