New England Ductless runs out of Weymouth, and its Google profile has racked up 888 ratings averaging 4.8 stars — the kind of volume that's hard to write off as a fluke. The day-to-day calls skew heavily toward heat pumps and mini-splits rather than pipes: seasonal AC and heat-pump maintenance, refrigerant diagnostics, and the occasional boiler-vent or condensate-line swap. The company also carries a Massachusetts plumbing license that's active as of today, verified against the state registry. The same names turn up again and again in recent reviews — AJ, Dominic ('Dom'), and Russell — each credited for showing up on time, walking customers through what they found, and cleaning up after (several mention shoe covers, unprompted). In June, one technician traced a 2021 LG mini-split's underperformance to a refrigerant valve leak, recharged the system, and explained the fix in plain terms. Another swapped a condensate line and boiler vent, going out of his way to track down the correct part. The last six months alone produced 128 reviews with just one negative in the mix, on top of a deeper history of 659 reviews stretching back to 2021 across five sources, plus an A+ Better Business Bureau rating. One exception is worth flagging: an April reviewer praised a technician's straightforward diagnosis but noted a previous visit had pushed an unnecessary equipment replacement, adding that the company is now part of a private-equity roll-up. It's a single account among many positive visits, but worth asking about if a quote leans toward replacement over repair. Reviews also split on what to call the business — several refer to it as 'Boston Standard' rather than New England Ductless, so it's worth confirming which name lands on the invoice. For a mini-split or heat pump that needs troubleshooting, this is a heavily reviewed shop with a real paper trail behind it. If the job is specifically plumbing, ask directly first — the license is active, but the reviews say far more about ductless systems than pipes.

They have been always very professional, communicative and pleasant to work with. The technicians are always very knowledgeable and efficient. Today’s maintenance with AJ was another great example of that. He was very thorough and walked me through all my options to keep my system running smoothly as possible.

Excellent work done by Kenneth Arruda and his very helpful, can do, professional team. I should have called in Boston Standard a long time ago to replace and upgrade my old aircon unit. Thank you for your exemplary service!

AJ (Alan Lewis) was professional and on time. He did thorough tests and measurements of my cooling system, and advised me on how to set my temperatures cost efficiently when I’m home and away. Excellent service!

Cost covered by the Home Protection Plan
