NGB Carpentry is Nick Brady, a one-man Yarmouth carpentry outfit — with a part-time assistant named Andy who turns up in the reviews — working across the Mid and Outer Cape. The state registry lists Nicholas Brady as an active Massachusetts Construction Supervisor doing business as NGB Carpentry, and his Angi profile claims ten years at it. The work splits cleanly in two. Outside, it is rot: a 2025 customer describes rotted custom exterior woodwork cut out and replaced with PVC Trimboard, a rusted bulkhead and garage back door swapped, an exterior shower removed; a 2023 customer had garage siding repaired; another had trim boards, windows and cedar shingles replaced. The business calls itself a rot repair and exterior trim specialist, and the record backs that up. Inside, it is finish carpentry and small structural jobs. Reviewers describe a mudroom and a finished basement, a mudroom bench with built-in storage below and coat hooks above, decorative wall trim and a plant shelf, a front door with trim, a gazebo, and cabinets reworked so a dishwasher would fit into an existing island. Two 2026 customers had blinds and closet sliders installed — he takes the small jobs too. Three things recur across five years of reviews. He explains options and their trade-offs before you commit; one 2023 customer says he gave advice on work he was not going to do without charging for the time. He cleans up — 'no trace that Nick was even in my house' is a 2025 reviewer's phrase, and the same theme appears in 2021, 2024 and 2025 accounts. And people hire him again: several reviewers are on a second or third project. What to know before booking. Every one of the 26 reviews on file is five stars and there is no complaint anywhere in the record, so nothing here has been stress-tested by a dispute — read the consistency, not the average. His Angi profile also states plainly that he does not offer free estimates, does not offer emergency service, and does not offer warranties, and takes credit cards only. And this is one carpenter, not a crew: for a whole-house project he coordinates with other trades rather than supplying them. Word of mouth points the same way as the reviews: Cape Cod residents named him unprompted in two separate Reddit threads, once in 2023 for someone hunting a contractor willing to take a small job, and again in October 2024 for Upper Cape recommendations.

Nic was terrific he installed my blinds perfectly!!! I would hire again and certainly will.
NGB Carpentry did a great job replacing the vertical blinds on my slider and fixing the sliding doors to my bedroom closet. The young carpenter was pleasant and efficient. He completed the work in one trip, and the cost was reasonable. I would highly recommend this company.
Nick from NGB Carpentry did an amazing job!!! He helped us create a mudroom and finished our basement. His work was impeccable. Our basement and mudrroom added a ton of value to our home. I recommend NGB Carpentry for all of your future builds.
Nick did a quality job in fixing the rotted custom woodwork on the exterior of my house by replacing it with PVC Trimboard, and the results look great. He also did a nice job in replacing my rusted bulkhead and the back door to the garage, along with removing an exterior shower. Nick showed a commitment to excellence and completed the entire job on time with a fair price. His part-time assistant Andy also did great work. Nick is a professional who definitely knows his craft and is easy to work with. He explained the job required and answered all my questions in terms that I understood. I would definitely contact Nick again if needed.
Great, Nick worked so ho*** ** it all day and the result was excellent. The repairs were completed as expected. He was very pleasant to deal with and left the area very neat.
