No Risk Painting is a Boston painting company that says it's been in business 20 years, and the review record — 39 reviews running from 2011 to 2026 — backs that up: repeat customers, warranty callbacks years later, and jobs that go well beyond a coat of paint. The written record shows the company handling harder properties: a very large, three-story Victorian three-family where the crew was praised for care with the historical details (a 2025 review), an old barn on difficult terrain (2025), a condo building where the estimator, Bob, showed up with an annotated-photo quote before the crew — led by Joe — finished the paint and repairs in two days (2024). Several reviews describe carpentry bundled into the paint job: replacing rotted window surrounds before a double coat of exterior paint (2023), swapping out a whole section of red cedar shingles and rebuilding sheds (2025), staining a deck mid-project (2024). When something has gone wrong after the fact, the company has come back: a 2024 review describes spots needing repatching almost three years later being fixed under warranty at no charge, and another 2024 review describes peeling spots from a job years earlier being addressed immediately after a call. Against that, four reviews across the fifteen-year span describe the same underlying issue in different words: surface prep skipped or rushed before the paint went on. A 2023 review says the paint didn't hold up because only spots were scraped, not the whole run of siding; a 2016 Angi review flags paint chips that weren't scraped or feathered; a 2022 review describes a crew that tried to skip an agreed sanding step and go straight to staining, on top of no-shows and a communication barrier with a crew that didn't include an English speaker; and a 2011 Angi review describes a subcontractor walking off a job mid-way, a week of silence, and a bill that came in at triple the quote. None of the four is recent — the last was in 2023, and the three reviews filed in the past six months are all positive. The state registry shows the company's Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration as expired. For a bigger or trickier job — an old barn, a historic three-family, carpentry alongside the paint — this is a company with a long, mostly strong record and a habit of standing behind the work after the fact; it's worth confirming the crew's current licensing status and asking specifically how they handle surface prep before signing on, given the pattern in the older reviews.
Very professional. Team prepped the house by power washing and sanding the areas prior to painting. Had a strong work ethic to complete the job in a timely manner and cleaned up after every session. Very happy with the results.
Jamie was a pleasure to meet and discuss painting options. My house warranted 2 coats instead of the 1 indicated on coupon so price was increased hence reasonable price. Received great service. Jorge is excellent professional patient and a perfectionist which is who you want being a front person of your company. After walking around he saw all the little things I too saw to touch up and a few more I didn’t see. Don’t ever lose him!!! Love the end result!! Thank you no risk…Blue house=before Green=after
Jamie and his team were superb! They were very professional and on time and truly transformed the outside of our house. The final result looks fantastic and the entire process was stress-free. Five stars!!
No risk painting did a great job on the exterior of our house. Nice attention to detail. Jamie was easy to communicate with. Would highly recommend them.
No Risk gave us a competitive quote and started work within two weeks. The workers were easy to communicate with and checked in with us on a daily basis. The quality of the paint job was excellent. The job was for an old barn and the terrain made it a challenge that they handled without difficulty. We are going to need painting on our house soon and will definitely call on them again!
