Brick steps, stone walls and walkways are what people hire this Lynn masonry company for, and twelve of its thirteen written reviews name Armando and his crew. Google shows 4.8 stars from 23 ratings. BBB lists North Star Masonry, Inc. as a corporation started in April 2019, with Armando Juventino Lopez Perez as president. The written reviews run from 2020 to 2025. In a June 2025 Google review, a homeowner described two weeks of work redoing front and side walkways and steps plus a back patio and steps, and said the same crew had also repointed their chimney and fixed a leak in the foundation. Another June 2025 customer had a large set of brick stairs repaired and rebuilt and credited Armando for being willing to talk through repairing instead of a full replacement. A May 2024 reviewer said the crew pulled up and re-graded an existing patio, blended new stones with the old, and stuck to their quote for the whole project. The older accounts are just as specific. A June 2022 customer described a 3-foot by 28-foot stone wall built to replace a chain link fence, with the area cleaned at the end of each day beside a busy city sidewalk. Another June 2022 reviewer had chimney and garage apron repairs done and wrote that the paving company that replaced the driveway afterward asked for the masonry company's contact information. A July 2022 homeowner said a broken flagstone walkway was finished ahead of schedule, and in an August 2020 Thumbtack review a customer said Armando rebuilt a stone wall that was falling down. This is a top-notch company. Great communication. Very reliable. Their work is beautiful. I highly recommend them!
I cannot recommend Armando and his crew more. They worked for two weeks at our property redoing our front and side walkways and steps as well as our back patio and steps. Everything came out beautifully and exceeded my expectations. Armando has always been responsive and easy to communicate with. We also used them to repoint our chimney and fix a leak in our foundation, both of those jobs were also done to perfection. They always left the job site extremely clean and showed up on time each day, lastly, his prices are more than fair. They are worth every penny!!
Armando and his crew repaired/rebuilt a large set of brick stairs, and repaired another smaller set of stairs for me. Armando was great to work with, he was willing to work with me on the idea of repairing vs a full replacement which I really appreciated. He and his crew were professional and kept the work area clean and taped off for safety during the work. Both projects came out great. I highly recommend North Star Masonry!
Highly recommended. Armando and his crew did extensive repair work on our brick front stairs and flagstone walkway. Their work was meticulous, their pricing reasonable and they thoroughly cleaned the worksite after they were done. Highly professional and very nice guys.
Absolutely phenomenal. We hired North Star to expand our existing patio. They went above and beyond and delivered a fabulous end result. Not only did they pull up and re-grade our existing patio, they seamlessly blended the new stones (slightly different color) with the old ones. On top of that, they even re-trenched our downspout and cleaned up some shoddy pre-existing concrete work around the patio area. Armando and his team were on-time, courteous and extremely professional. They also stuck to their (reasonable) quote for the entire project. SO happy with how it turned out.
