Northeast Home & Energy is a family-owned exterior remodeler working out of Wrentham with a second office in North Grafton. Roofing is the headline trade, but the jobs customers describe run across the whole exterior — siding, gutters, insulation and weatherisation, windows and exterior doors — for homes across eastern and central Massachusetts. Its Better Business Bureau profile records a business start of May 1980, 46 years in business, ten employees and president Richard Prunier, and the company has been BBB accredited since 1992 with an A+ grade. The reviews are consistently positive and name people. A 2024 homeowner getting vinyl siding on a ranch said vice president John Prunier came out personally, gave a detailed and competitive quote against three other bids, and talked about the family business his father founded. A 2023 roofing customer said Richard quoted a reasonable price and explained a 50-year roof with a warranty transferable to a future owner. Another 2023 customer had insulation done by Randy's crew and said they worked around a home-office schedule; a 2025 insulation and weatherisation job drew praise for Christina, Andy and the team tidying the whole place afterwards. Window and door work shows up repeatedly too — patio doors, a front door with a side light, and a doorway cut between a garage and basement hallway, all done by a prompt installer. On the roofing side specifically, a Reddit commenter reported in 2022 that the company re-roofed their house for $10,000 with a 40-year warranty and finished in one day, and suggested asking for Mike. Google carries a 4.9 average across 15 ratings, with 12 reviews on file dating from 2023 to 2025. That is a clean record, but a modest one for a company this old, and it is worth noting the most recent review here is from mid-2025. The certifications are extensive and mostly manufacturer-issued — GAF Master Elite and GAF CARE, CertainTeed 5-Star, Andersen, Velux, James Hardie, Everlast and Mastic — along with EPA Lead-Safe certification and Mass Save partner status for insulation work. These are the company's own claims; the manufacturer programmes are straightforward to confirm directly if a particular product warranty matters to you. For a full exterior package — roof plus siding, insulation or windows under one contract, with Mass Save insulation incentives in play — this is a long-established, owner-involved outfit. Ask which crew and project manager you get, and get the warranty terms and their transferability in writing, since those are the specifics past customers say sold them.
“Northeast Home and Energy did mine. $10,000 total; this was 2 years ago. My roof was a bit smaller than yours. 40 year warranty. Work was done in one day. Ask for Mike.”

The workers were absolutely terrific while at our residence. All of them were extremely polite, professional, conscientious and very informative pertaining to their respective duties. They were very friendly, careful and respectful of our belongings in addition to staying on task at all times. We were quite impressed and pleased with their attitude, willingness, commitment, dedication and performance during the two days they spent at our house. We have already highly recommended them to several of our friends and will continue to do so in the future. They did a fantastic job and are certainly a credit to your company.
Had 2 new patio doors and 1 front door with side lite installed as well as have a doorway created between my garage and basement hallway. Installer was prompt, professional and did excellent work. Would recommend!
I recently had the pleasure of working with Northeast Home and Energy for vinyl siding on my ranch-style house, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. From the outset, the representative and Vice President, John Prunier, made a lasting impression. John came to our home and provided a detailed and competitive quote. I had received quotes from three other companies, but John's professionalism and personable approach won us over. His presentation about the family business, founded by his father, who had a deep respect and commitment to assisting U.S. Military Veterans, resonated with my wife and me. The Veteran's discount he offered was the icing on the cake, making our decision to go with Northeast Home and Energy an easy one. Throughout the process, John and his team were incredibly responsive and attentive to our needs. The quality of their work exceeded our expectations. The vinyl siding has transformed the look of our home, adding both value and curb appeal. We have had experiences in our lifetime with other companies who add extras costs as they go, but John saved us some additional money as the job neared completion. This is the kind of integrity and honesty that one only hopes to find in a business today. I wholeheartedly recommend Northeast Home and Energy to anyone looking for top-notch service, quality craftsmanship, and a company that genuinely cares about its customers. Thank you, John, and the entire team for a job well done!
