Ostroski Plumbing & Heating is a North Billerica family business run by Greg Ostroski — a 2025 Reddit post describes the owner handing out his own cell number and being "extremely kind and helpful," with the poster staying loyal after Greg went out of his way for them on a house with undisclosed issues. The name says it plainly: this is both a plumbing and a heating outfit, and the reviews bear that out in roughly equal measure. The company holds a registry-verified, active Massachusetts plumbing license. Most calls described in the reviews are urgent — a failed water heater, a leaking pipe, a furnace that won't run — and the recurring theme is speed: callers describe technicians arriving within the hour or getting same-day service, even on short notice. Recent reviews from this summer describe a plumber arriving in under an hour to fix an issue without trying to sell unnecessary extras, and another calling the quotes quick and the work good. The reviews aren't just quick fixes, either. In a January 2026 review, one homeowner describes Greg finally diagnosing a years-long steam-heat hammering problem that multiple other plumbers and HVAC companies had failed to solve. Tankless water heater installs, furnace cleanings, boiler servicing, and leak diagnosis inside walls and ceilings all show up repeatedly across the 167 reviews on file dating back to 2022, most naming individual technicians — Brent, Stephen, Rob, Nick, and office coordinator Tina — by name. One clear exception stands out: in an October 2023 review, a customer describes a crew swearing on the job, not protecting the floors, and speeding away afterward in a way that drew a complaint from a neighbor. It's an isolated account against an otherwise long, consistently positive stretch, but worth knowing about. For plumbing or heating work that needs someone there fast — from a failed water heater to a heating problem nobody else could figure out — this is a family-run local outfit with an active state plumbing license and a long list of repeat customers.
“Ostroski. Owner gives out his cell and is responsive by text. Extremely kind and helpful, and very fair pricing. It's a family business and we are loyal to them after they went out of our way for us a couple times with a new house that had undisclosed issues. Front office is also very kind and helpful. And they do a great job, too.”
Plumber was at my house under an hour after calling. Problem was fixed quickly but worth the money to have peace of mind the job was done right and didn’t try to scam me for more money like some would try to do. I will be calling them again for my next plumbing job.
Quick quotes, good work, friendly and local - what more can you ask for?
very efficient diagnosed and cleared the issue in less than a half hour
Excellent service I called and spoke with Tina for an appointment she went above and beyond to get me the help I needed for a plumber. Robert worked non stop to solve my my leaks. He was very professional and courteous and did an excellent job. Highly recommend.
Totally satisfactory experience. Appointment was easy to make. I was informed immediately of any changes in arrival time due to unforeseen problems at previous job. Stephen was courteous, professional and very conscientious about the work he performed. Will definitely use Ostroski again when the need arises.
