Paramount Rug Company

Heirloom braided rugs, new flooring and installation are all part of Paramount Rug Company’s work. The company says the Kashgagian family has owned and operated it since 1928, now in its third generation, with stores in Hyannis and Brockton. Its website describes carpet, hardwood, tile, vinyl and area rugs, along with flooring installation, custom and braided rug fabrication, and rug cleaning. The Hyannis store is on Yarmouth Road. A recent Google customer praises the team’s knowledge, speed and attention to detail, and says they love their new rugs. In a November 2025 review, another customer specifically named Paramount Hyannis and praised the experience from Milan through the fitters, including the price. Google lists a 4.7-star average from 15 ratings. An August 2023 customer described having heirloom hand-braided wool rugs cleaned with care. Older customer accounts describe flooring work around Cape Cod. Writing on Houzz in April 2014, a homeowner said Paramount supplied the hardwood, tile and carpet for a new South Yarmouth house built in 2003. They described working with Greg and praised the installation crews. The same reviewer said they returned for front-hall hardwood and carpeting in two bedrooms the previous year. These are accounts of past projects, rather than newly completed work. The company also received Houzz reviews describing bathroom renovation. In April 2014, a customer said they hired Paramount to gut and redo an entire bathroom, from demolition through tile installation and trim, praising the crew’s cleanliness and detailed work. A December 2016 customer described remodeling two and a half bathrooms, installing and refinishing hardwood, carpeting a basement, and installing a marble fireplace and kitchen backsplash. Those reviews appear on the company’s Brockton-office Houzz profile. Its history is described differently by different sources. Paramount’s website says 1928; BBB gives a business start date of December 28, 1965, while the Hyannis Angi profile displays 13 years of experience. BBB gives the Hyannis business an A+ grade and states that it is not BBB accredited. A November 2017 Houzz customer described discussing basement flooring with Greg, receiving a recommendation for CORETec Plus, and completing the installation. They praised the company’s product knowledge and ease of scheduling.
