We hired Paul Davis in April 2026 for water damage repairs to a small bathroom and adjoining room. They accepted the insurance estimate, received a deposit in May, and agreed to finish before our son’s June graduation. Instead, the project dragged into September, with repeated delays and weeks of little or no communication. Making matters worse, Paul Davis had packed up and stored our furniture, linens, and other household belongings. What should have been a few weeks without these items became several months. We even had to purchase additional bedding because our own remained in their storage. The workmanship was extremely disappointing. Bathroom flooring was improperly installed, resulting in flexing and cracked tiles. Their attempted repair did not correct the underlying problem. The bathroom painting was sloppy and incomplete, with missed areas and paint on fixtures. I sent photographs directly to the company’s president, who never acknowledged or addressed these issues. I personally completed plumbing and electrical work included in their estimate. Approximately $700 was also allocated for a popcorn ceiling finish we had agreed to eliminate. Despite these items not being performed, Paul Davis offered no reduction in the contracted price. When questioned, the president discouraged reviewing the estimate line by line and complained that the company was losing money on the project. The outside subcontractors eventually hired to finish the adjoining room’s ceiling were excellent, but their professionalism only highlighted the shortcomings of Paul Davis’s own management and workmanship. Ultimately, I paid the full balance simply to end the ordeal, not because I was satisfied. I refused to sign their completion acknowledgment and am left correcting portions of their work myself. A relatively small restoration project became months of frustration, questionable workmanship, poor communication, and unresolved billing concerns. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this Paul Davis franchise.
Horrible…. Terrible communication, our kitchen has been ripped out for 5 weeks now. This company is a joke. The house is in orange and is under Lindsay Carroll. I did call after reading your response to my review and got nowhere. I can also see that many others have a huge issue with the communication from you and I am absolutely appalled. 6 weeks without a kitchen, bathroom, and laundry with a 6 year old is absolutley impossible. Feel free to reach out to us at anytime or call USAA as our insurance agent has also been trying to reach out to you for some time!
Excellent Experience Always! Efficient, on time and effective.
The team did an amazing job on my garage! You’d never know a tree ever fell on it!
DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY I had flood damage in June 2025 caused by another business. The business contracted Paul Davis to handle the restoration project. They were quick to tear away my bathroom and remediate the water damage, but didn't follow through to put it back together. I contacted Paul Davis multiple times and left messages to see what was going on, but didn't hear back. I had to constantly reach out to them for information because I waited lengths of up to a few weeks without communication. When I was dealing with the insurance company, even they were wondering why this case was open so long and frankly its embarrassing. I signed the contract for Paul Davis to start the job in January 2026. The company had months to plan and purchase the necessary materials, but they still managed to mess up the order and further delay the project. They could have given us options ahead of the contract being signed so they could execute upon signature, but didn't put any thought into how they could finish this job effectively. After talking to the owner, things did seem like they were moving along, but that momentum died quickly. I didn't get an accurate timeline on how long this project was going to take so I could plan my work schedule. I don't understand why I have to reach out to a business so many times to get information. Additionally, my wife and I had to take time off work on short notice to accommodate when they could work because of last minute cancellations. The company had no respect for our time. There was no sense of urgency to get the job done and an absolute lack of attention to detail. They finished the job in March 2026. The workers were nice and quality is pretty good, but leadership needs a tune up and the business needs an overhaul for process improvement and managing timelines. Don't engage in business with them and save yourself the headache. No one should be paying anywhere close to what competitors are charging if you decide to choose this company. To put the timeline into perspective, on my commute to work, there's a house that got a standalone 3 car garage built in the length of time that I was dealing with Paul Davis to replace flooring in my basement (9 months).
