In a December 2025 Google review, a customer wrote that Paul White installed kitchen and bathroom flooring for them two years earlier, and when the time came to replace upstairs carpeting, "we knew who to call." That customer called Traci and Tim friendly and responsive and said every member of the installation crew was on time, polite and professional. The company's website says it started as a small family venture by Paul G. White in 1970 in Portland, Maine, and is now led by Paul C. and Jonathan White. Its BBB page describes the sale and installation of carpet, vinyl flooring, ceramic tile and granite, and BBB grades it A+. In a February 2025 review, Traci in the showroom showed a customer several products, and Kyle did the vinyl plank installation in their basement on time and on budget. A July 2025 reviewer credited Traci with helping pick tile and grout, Tim with scheduling, and Aaron and Noah with the tile work in their bathrooms. In August 2025 a designer who worked with Eliot twice wrote that Mark installed a runner in the reviewer's own home. In an April 2023 review, a customer picked a quartz remnant from the slabs outside the shop for an existing vanity, and within a few weeks the company had it cut and installed; it also re-adhered their loose undermount kitchen sink. A December 2022 customer had an installed bathroom counter in less than a month. In a December 2021 review, a customer who closed on a small unit in a new East End condo building, where Paul White was subcontracted for tile, flooring, cabinets and appliance installs, described 11 months of issues: a brand-new dishwasher damaged during installation and a tub-to-shower conversion whose tile took five "repairs" to fix. That reviewer said the company offered a $350 gift card. A July 2022 one-star review said the customer's realtor thought their $2,300 kitchen backsplash was DIY, that molding was cut out and not replaced when the countertop was replaced, and that the flooring transitions had to be fixed. A December 2023 one-star review said only "Rude installers," and a September 2023 one-star review said the company "sold us garbage product" and treated the reviewer poorly.
“So far Paul White is the cheapest but I haven’t reached out to Blue Rock yet.”
“Check out Paul White Company.”
Paul White installed kitchen and bathroom flooring for us two years ago and when the time came to replace upstairs carpeting, we knew who to call. Traci and Tim are great to work with, friendly and responsive, and they know how to bring a project to completion. I can’t say enough about the fantastic crew who did the installation. Every one of them was on time, polite, and professional. They were knowledgeable and experienced, I didn’t have one worry about how the finished product would look. And it looks simply beautiful. I won’t hesitate to contact Paul White for any future projects we have.
I worked with Eliot once as a designer for a client and once for my own home, and both times were fantastic experiences! I had the pleasure of having Mark install a runner in my own home and his attention to detail and pride in his work was incredible and appreciated. So happy with both of my experiences at Paul White!
Paul White Company was fantastic to deal with from beginning to end. Traci helped us pick out beautiful tile and grout, Tim was a great communicator regarding scheduling and Aaron and Noah were skilled and precise tilers! I couldn't believe how smooth, efficient and professional the whole process was! And the end result was the most exciting part. My bathrooms look beautiful!
The service at Paul White was outstanding! They came in at the lowest price for the highest quality, and were able to schedule us faster than we thought was possible. Traci in the showroom showed us several products, and we found just what we needed quickly and easily with her expert guidance. Kyle did the vinyl plank installation in our basement on time and on budget. They were very pleasant to work with.
The entire experience with Paul White was great. From my initial contact, and how responsive they were, to the price, working with the stone shop on templating, and the installation……everyone was so professional and efficient. I can’t say enough about how pleased we are with our beautiful new counter.
