That comes from the state registry itself, and it is the first thing to raise if you call them. It gets murkier. BuildZoom's profile for the same Haverhill address carries a different registration number, 110981, which it says it verified as active in June 2026, plus two older Newton licences it did not verify. Two sources, two numbers, one of them suspended — worth resolving before any money changes hands. The business itself reads as a small, long-running local outfit. BuildZoom names Michael Feenstra as the owner, lists kitchen, bathroom, basement and whole-home remodels along with additions, and shows sample building permits stretching back to 2008. Only two people have reviewed the company publicly, both giving five stars, both in 2025. Punctuality comes up in both, as does being satisfied with the work and what it cost. Two reviews is not enough to judge consistency in either direction, and nothing else on file corroborates them. So the sequence for a homeowner is clear. Check the registration status directly with the Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation, ask which number the company is operating under and what the suspension is about, and get the scope, price and payment schedule in writing before work starts.
