Homeowner work sits in that history as well — a $140,000 Arlington kitchen renovation that also took in windows, doors, siding and porches — though much of the permit volume is commercial build-out, including retail storefronts on Main Street in Peabody and 3rd Avenue in Burlington. For a kitchen, a basement or an addition, this is a builder used to inspectors and six-figure budgets. Ask how a house job gets scheduled alongside the commercial work, who is supervising on site day to day, and have the scope and allowances written into the contract before demolition starts.
