Peters Property Management has operated in Provincetown and Truro since 1986; current owner Laurie Ferrari took over in 2006 and added a construction arm to the business in 2016. The company runs two lines side by side — condo and residential property management, with bookkeeping for its managed clients, and a construction division building additions, dormers, bathroom and kitchen remodels, siding, roofing, and window and door replacement. Its Google page shows a company with a loyal core and a persistent set of unhappy customers. One reviewer who has hired the company for over ten years credits the owner's knowledge of the Outer Cape with saving money on a construction project; another, a client for 15 years, keeps coming back. On the construction side, a 2025 review describes a new roof and window replacement handled from start to finish, and another calls out the crew on an installation as neat and conscientious. The other reviews, running from 2022 through late 2025, tell a different story. Several describe being charged inflated, lump-sum invoices they couldn't itemize, and one from October 2023 alleges units were entered without permission and fees charged with no explanation given. A cluster of reviews across the same years describe calls and emails going unanswered for days or weeks, and scheduled visits that didn't happen. One 2022 review even called two of the site's own five-star reviews fake — a claim there's no way to verify, but it shows how differently customers describe this company. Before signing on, get billing terms in writing — how invoices are itemized and what a response-time commitment looks like — since those are the two complaints that repeat across multiple years. BuildZoom lists a Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration (#186404) for the company under its legal name, Lfs Group, Inc., and shows building permits in Provincetown, Truro and North Truro going back to 2006. This looks built for a Cape property owner who wants one relationship covering both the building work and the year-round upkeep, particularly a longtime second-home owner. Anyone hiring for a single renovation, or anyone who wants pricing locked down before work starts, should ask for a written scope and invoice format up front.
they are quick and reliable and definitely recommend 👌🏽 them 💯
Highly recommend Peters Property Management, Laurie is extremely professional and reliable. Her team works really hard at what they do and I can’t recommend them enough!
RUDE! TERRIBLE! CONDESCENDING! UNPROFESSIONAL! EXPENSIVE! It’s a shame you can’t give a company zero stars. Peters is a pathetic excuse for a company. They will charge you an arm and a leg while not providing any real services. They schedule service dates and then do not show up. They won’t respond to emails for weeks at a time after multiple attempts to reach them. And when they finally do it’s with an incredibly rude attitude. I cannot overemphasize how rude management is. I don’t think I’ve ever had such a terrible experience with a property management company. It seems the new owner has no idea how to run a business or she just doesn’t care that she is doing a terrible job. I would stay far away and use any other property management company in town.
Property management - poor service at inflated prices, staff turnover means you will deal with the same mistakes repeatedly. Property repairs - most of their contract workers are not skilled carpenters. While they photograph all steps of their work management does not allow them to share the photographs with the homeowner. It is unlikely these workers, most of whom cannot understand English could be hired by professional construction firms. Charges: Peters will not produce itemized invoices for work performed. With lump sum categories like "materials" and "labor" it is impossible for a homeowner to evaluate their charges. However, if you have any experience in home construction/renovation you will quickly realize that Peters overcharges for any repair work they perform. Many of us have lobbied to retain a different property management service but the HOA board is voluntary and not willing to invest the time to assess other options.
We had a complicated installation and Peter’s Property swooped in and saved the day. The workers were neat, nice, conscientious and skilled. Highly recommend!
