A September 2025 customer called Plumbers Crack Plumbing after another plumber proposed replacing a kitchen faucet for $550–$750. Steve identified a hole in the spray hose instead, suggested obtaining a free replacement from the manufacturer, then returned to fit it. The customer said the sink worked properly and the repair cost a fraction of the first quote. Customers identify Steve Szkirka as the owner and describe plumbing work ranging from faulty valves and faucets to laundry-room lines and boiler replacement. Google lists 13 ratings averaging five stars. The Better Business Bureau gives the company an A+ grade. In November 2025, a customer said Steve responded within minutes of a morning call and arrived that afternoon to replace a toilet flange and wax ring. He also investigated weak shower pressure, returning the next day to remove debris from a supply pipe with compressed air and restore the flow. A December 2024 customer described an end-of-day kitchen-faucet visit at a fair price. Several older customers had hired the company repeatedly. In February 2024, the operator of CT TILE & BATH said Plumbers Crack had handled plumbing for the remodeling business for about ten years. Another customer that month described multiple jobs: a bathroom vanity, laundry-room water lines and drains, heater vents and a boiler. A separate February 2024 customer praised a quick valve repair, explanations of the cost and replacement parts, and cleanup afterward.
Steve and his partner were so professional and knowledgeable. And the I think my bathroom was cleaner then when they came in. Lol 5 STARS ALL THE WAY.
Steve replied within minutes of my morning call and arrived promptly that afternoon. He made a repair on the initial request, replacing a toilet flange and wax ring, and then took time to look at a second, less critical issue (low water pressure in a shower). He returned the next day, diagnosed the unusual issue (debris within the supply pipe), and restored the pressure by cleaning the debris with compressed air. Steve was friendly, professional, and clean. I highly recommend.
Don’t look anywhere else!! Steve is professional, fast and reliable!! Highly recommended for any job. Even offered to let my son shadow him.
I recently had a leak under my kitchen sink that was soaking the cabinet below. I called a plumber in Glastonbury who told me the entire faucet was rusted and needed to be replaced. He quoted me between $550–$750, with the faucet alone costing $350 and labor at $200/hour. It felt a little pricey, so I decided to get a second opinion. After seeing great reviews on the East Hartford Facebook page, I reached out to Steve from Plumbers Crack, LLC—and I’m so glad I did. Steve quickly diagnosed the real issue: a small hole in the spray hose, not a rusted faucet. He even suggested I contact the manufacturer for a free replacement hose, which I received within a week. Steve returned to install the new hose, and now my sink works perfectly—for a fraction of the original quote. His honesty and expertise saved me hundreds of dollars, and he never tried to upsell me on unnecessary repairs. If you're looking for a plumber who’s honest, knowledgeable, and customer-focused, Steve is your guy. I’ll definitely be calling him for any future plumbing needs.
I needed a new faucet in my kitchen. Having the faucet go out near your kitchen, makes everything harder to do. I called and spoke to the owner, Steve, and he was able to put me in at the end of the day. He did a great job and charged me a fair price. This man knows what he’s doing, is nice to deal with, and solves problems quickly. I will definitely use them again.
