Precise Electric LLC is a one-person electrical shop out of 180 Mapleton Road in Manchester, run by owner James Caperci — the "James" or "Jimmy" nearly every reviewer mentions by name. He holds New Hampshire electrician licence 15686, registry-verified active with the state's Office of Professional Licensure and Certification, and the same number appears on his Angi and HomeAdvisor profiles with an expiration of 10/26/2027. The review record is deep for a solo operator: 4.9 out of 5 across 42 ratings, mirrored between Angi and HomeAdvisor (the two carry the same pool), with 53 projects shown and written reviews running from 2023 through 2025. What people hire him for is everyday residential work — switches, outlets and fixtures, wiring and panel upgrades, and smaller jobs bigger outfits pass on. A 2024 reviewer described him replacing a run of worn 1950s wiring, adding a sconce and outlet, and fixing a balky three-way switch in a few hours, "immaculately done." Two threads repeat across the record. First, speed: homeowners describe calling in the morning and getting an evening visit, same-day arrivals within the hour, and a next-day job done from a fully stocked truck. Second, price: several independent reviews call his rates very reasonable and good value, and a Reddit commenter recommending him for southern New Hampshire put it plainly — everything done to code and nothing you don't need, at a fair price, though "if you want HGTV level find someone else." The cautions sit at the newest end of the record. The single one-star review, from September 2025, reports repeated no-shows and delays that the customer says cost thousands extra. And a 2024 customer whose first job went perfectly described paying a 50% deposit on a follow-up project, then going unanswered by phone, text and email for a frustrating stretch before finally reconnecting. Against roughly forty positive accounts these are the exceptions, but both are specific, and both are about reachability once a job is underway rather than the quality of the work itself. For small-to-mid residential electrical in the Manchester area — fixtures, outlets, panel and service work, old-wiring cleanup — the record says he's a strong, fairly priced call. For a larger project, the sensible move is to pin down schedule and communication expectations up front.
“James from Precise electric. One person shop. Everything you need done to code and nothing you don't. https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/nh/manchester/precise-electric-reviews-1.htm If you want HGTV level find someone else. If you want up to code work at a fair price this is your guy”
Awesome job, quality, service and on time met or exceeded expectations.
James is not reliable, doesn?t show up when he says he will, multiple delays as a result of his inability to show up. Save yourself the trouble and find somebody else. Cost me thousands extra.
Great guy, very knowledgeable and thorough. Did a professional job. Very pleased with his pricing and work.
Jimmy was wonderful and affordable. Circuit breaker broke and Jimmy fixed it by 2pm. He fit me in quickly. He is knowledgeable, efficient, personable. I will call him for all my electrical work!!
James did a great job. Very responsive, showed up as promised. Coordinated “off” and “on” power with the utility for updating the service entrance. Cleaned up after. Highly recommend.
