Presidential HVAC is a Boston HVAC shop built around owner Adi Rai, whose name is on nearly every review — the Sunday emergencies, the holiday calls, the tricky old systems. Google shows 4.9 stars from 212 ratings and the Better Business Bureau gives the company an A+; the written record on file runs from 2021 into 2026 across 112 reviews. The defining thread is off-hours availability. Reviewers describe Adi coming out during negative-temperature cold snaps and after-hours snowstorms to get a dead furnace running again within the hour, and talking a homeowner through a fix over the phone on Thanksgiving. In a 2022 review, a customer described Adi giving away a needed AC capacitor for free on a Sunday rather than charging the $400 show-up fee another company wanted, so an 89-year-old with no air conditioning in 95-degree heat could cool off that afternoon. Reviewers also point to boiler and furnace troubleshooting other companies gave up on — two separate reviews describe Presidential fixing a 20-year-old boiler and a stubborn HVAC issue on the first visit after other companies couldn't. On pricing, several reviews describe the company diagnosing without pushing an upsell, including one noting Adi's background as a master electrician means he'll tell you what's actually wrong rather than steer you toward a bigger job. The one sour note in the record is a 2024 review from a Back Bay condo owner describing a dual-zone mini-split install that dragged on for months over insurance paperwork the building's historical board kept rejecting, with the reviewer feeling the owner was reluctant to work within the board's requirements. Worth confirming compliance and paperwork expectations up front for any condo or historic-building install. For emergency heating and cooling repairs and full system installs around Boston, the reviews back a company that answers the phone at odd hours and prices its work honestly — just plan for extra lead time if the job needs to clear a condo association.
“Decided if I was going to pay for a consult, I might as well get someone good, so I went with Presidential HVAC. Super friendly and professional, did the work at a reasonable price, and it ran more efficiently than ever.”
What an incredible experience. Extremely professional, timely, knowledgeable, and most importantly, prices their service reasonably. Paul came out the same day, and got the job done efficiently! Could not recommend them enough, these guys are great!
Quick and professional! They came out same day to get my system up and running!
Very responsive, only company i could get a hold of. Adi was already on his last job of the day and he still came through on short notice. We are very appreciative and highly recommend Presidential HVAC.
Very responsive and does great work! He was able to fix an issue 2 other technicians couldn't in a timely manner and is very communicative!
Was able to come out last minute when a different company didn’t come prepared with the refrigerant needed to make the repair. They showed up even though it was late in the evening and made the repair super quickly. Highly recommend.
