Presto Carpentry Painting & Roofing

Presto Carpentry, Painting & Roofing is a family-owned, multi-trade home improvement contractor based in Prides Crossing on Massachusetts' North Shore, doing carpentry, painting, roofing and gutter work for residential and commercial customers. Its own materials say it's been in business since 1988; the Better Business Bureau's page instead records a 1998 start with 28 years in business, so the exact founding date is worth asking about directly. The business holds an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. Its BBB page, however, states plainly that it is NOT an accredited BBB business, which conflicts with the company's own claim elsewhere of being an 'Accredited Business...since 1/12/2007' — worth clarifying before hiring. The company also says it's OSHA certified and has EPA RRP (Renovator, Repair & Painter) certified staff for lead-safe work. A reasonable call for carpentry, painting, roofing or gutter work; confirm the accreditation status and founding date directly, and get the scope and price in writing before signing.
