Pro Plumbing's website says it has been servicing clients in Connecticut since 2000. A recent customer said Rich fixed a kitchen drain pipe for a reasonable price compared with a larger company in the area. A recent customer who has used Rich for years said he replaced an inside well tank, found the pump line inside the well leaking and had it fixed the next morning; the same customer said Danny and Charles were courteous and on time. A 2024 customer said their well pump quit at 4 pm, Rich was there in a half hour, and a new pump was installed with water flowing by 10:20 the next morning. A 2024 customer said he arrived within 45 minutes for an emergency leak and also helped fix a sump pump. A 2025 customer said Rich converted their home from well water to city water, working outside normal hours so they were not put out of the house for the weekend, at a lower cost than others. A 2025 customer said a broken water heater tank was ordered and replaced quickly. A 2022 customer said a new kitchen faucet was installed and the valves under the sink replaced in an hour. A 2022 customer said a replaced bathroom spout later leaked because of a defective part, and they came back a couple of days after it was reported to fix it at no charge. A 2022 customer objected to a quote of over $225 for gluing and strapping an easily accessed drain pipe, which they called a 15-minute job. A 2023 customer called the service a little pricey but said they fixed the problem. Its Connecticut plumbing licence, PLM.0279710-P1, is active under Richard J Mattern.
I am so glad I called Rich at Pro Plumbing. He fixed my kitchen drain pipe for a very reasonable price compared to a larger company in the area (their price was insanely high) and he was fast and professional. I will definitely call Pro Plumbing in the future and skip the other guys.
Nice people. Rich has been our plumber for years. His guys Danny and Charles, very highly recommended, they were courteous, on time, worked hard to accomplish the job. Rich replaced our well tank inside, found the pump line inside well was leaking by and got it fixed the next morning. Reasonable prices too. Very happy with them.
This guy is the real deal. Extremely helpful, knowledgeable and willing to solve any type of plumbing issue within a reasonable time frame.
Extremely professional, extremely skilled, and extremely down-to-earth. Rich went above and beyond to get my home converted from well water to city water, spending time outside normal working hours to ensure we were not put out of the house for the weekend. He made a fearful and unfamiliar problem easy, all while coming in at a lower cost than others. He is a straight-shooter and I trust him. I strongly recommend you do as well.
Rich and his team are top dogs in their craft. I’ve been dealing with Rich for many years and he stands by honest, fair and reputable work.
