QC Building LLC is a Roslindale, Massachusetts general contractor that says it was formed in 2010 as a licensed and insured firm, handling residential remodeling (kitchens, bathrooms, additions), ADU work, new construction and smaller home-improvement jobs through its own crew and licensed partner trades. The company describes itself as owner-operated, listing J.C. as owner and operations manager and Welington G. as its civil engineer, and names a service area running from Boston, Dorchester, West Roxbury and Roslindale out to Dedham, Milton, Newton, Stoughton, Randolph and Holbrook. The people who hired them most often name Wellington and describe a crew that turns up daily and finishes what it started. Bathroom remodels are the recurring story: a 2019 Thumbtack reviewer said the team brought her design to life and worked every day until the job was done at a price she considered fair, another that year described a bath taken from demo to finish by a clean, respectful crew, and a 2022 Angi homeowner credited them with two brand-new bathrooms among several projects. A January 2022 Thumbtack review praised a crew that handled tiling, demolition, plumbing, fixture replacement and painting on one job. Earlier accounts from 2015 and 2016 cover a porch and deck build, a dryer installation booked within minutes over a Labor Day weekend, window replacement, a screen repair and a curtain-rod installation, most of them praising fast response, punctuality and reasonable pricing. A few things are worth asking about. In a 2015 Angi review a customer said he was charged $850 for a job he felt was overpriced and that a language barrier hurt the work, and he would not hire again; a 2016 window-replacement customer rated the job fair but said the owner seemed rushed at the end, and another 2016 reviewer found the price a bit high. A 2019 Thumbtack reviewer noted some miscommunication about a ceiling, which he partly attributed to his own unclear vision and which Wellington fixed promptly once raised. The written reviews run from 2015 to 2022, with most of them from 2015 and 2016, so the recent history on the platforms is thin. QC Building holds a 5.0 rating from 11 Thumbtack ratings and 4.4 from 20 on Angi, and lists a Construction Supervisor and General Building Contractor licence on Thumbtack; the company also reports drywall and painting licences and plumbing and electrical coverage through licensed partners, none of which are verified here. They look like a reasonable call for a mid-sized bathroom remodel or a general home-improvement job around Boston's southwest neighborhoods; agree the scope, price and finish schedule in writing before starting.
We highly recommend Wellington and his team. They have completed multiple projects and upgrades for our home, including two brand new bathrooms, and we are very pleased with the results.
The team was awesome. Completed the work to our satisfaction. Hard working, cared about the work and quality, and knew their way around all aspects - tiling, demo, plumbing, fixture replacement, painting to name a few. Would hire them again.
I really enjoyed working with Wellington. He gave me a good price for a job that ended up really well done. We had some miscommunications which were partly my fault of not having a clear vision for the ceiling, but when I expressed my concerns to him he immediately took care of it and corrected everything. I highly recommend him!
Wellington and his team did an excellent job with my bathroom remodel project! They brought my design to life and worked everyday until the job was done. I definitely feel I got a great price for the project!
Nice company! They were able to remodel our bath from demo to finish. The job was excellent and fear price. l'll recommend this company. Very happy, clean and respectable guys.
