Eight days, thirteen new windows trimmed out. That is how an August 2026 Google reviewer summed up Quiet Harbor Builders' exterior makeover of their house: new windows, siding and doors, with questions answered at every stage and the crew cleaning up at the end. The Readfield and Augusta-area builder holds 5 stars from 5 Google ratings, and it says it offers free estimates and is insured. Also in August 2026, a family wrote that Jeff and his crew completed their lake house in Mount Vernon on budget and on timeline, took on the custom work they asked for, and that Jeff's tile and stone work was beautiful. In an August 2025 review, a couple building from four states away wrote that Jeff worked with them from finding the lot through foundation, framing and the final details, sent weekly progress pictures or videos with commentary, and kept the build on schedule and on budget; they started in late April 2024 and moved in that December. In November 2025 another family wrote that Jeff took over the finish work on a house they had been contracting themselves, and that he and his crew handled changes and problems patiently and quickly. A January 2026 reviewer wrote that the company built an addition with a sunroom and a bedroom plus a complete kitchen remodel in 2023, then a patio and a two-bay garage, special-ordering vinyl siding to match the original house. The same customer has since called on the company for driveway sanding and plowing. The company's site lists landscaping, hardscaping, patios, retaining walls and snow removal. Maine does not license general contractors.
Quiet Harbor Builders recently gave my house a makeover with new windows, siding, and doors. Please note - I have never done anything like this before, so I had no idea what to expect out of a contractor working on my house. Not only did QHB make this entire process easy and simple, they were able to answer questions at every stage of the game. The work was impeccable and the crew was not only respectful of my home, but did amazing work to finish everything within eight days…including trimming out 13 new windows! From start to finish, Quiet Harbor Builders went above and beyond anything I could have imagined. From the first visit to when they finished cleaning up, I felt like I was in good hands and was being well taken care of. I cannot recommend Quiet Harbor Builders enough and hope you’ll trust them with your contracting needs! Amazing job. Highly recommend. Affordable, reliable, and fast.
Jeff and his crew were amazing. They completed a lake house for us in Mount Vernon and did an incredible job. Great attention to details, stuck to the budget and timeline. Very communicative, accessible and happy/willing to do all of the custom work that we asked. The workmanship was very high quality and they worked well with the building materials, paint and finishes that we had planned. Jeff's tile and stone work was beautiful. We would highly recommend Quiet Harbor Builders to anyone looking to do a home project!
I hired Quiet Harbor Builders in 2023 to build an addition with a sunroom and additional bedroom on my house, and a complete kitchen remodel. They also built a patio off the sunroom and in front of the original structure. After that, they built a 2 bay garage. All of the work they did is top notch. They even went as far as to special order the vinyl siding so that it would match 100% with the original structure. On top of the great quality work, the owner and all of his crew are excellent people. Easy to get along with, and very friendly. I could not be happier with the quality and experience. Since then, there have been a couple of instances that I needed my driveway sanded, or plowed. They just happen to do that too! On any of those occasions, Id simply call the owner, and someone would be here soon after with a smile and happy to help. Often times it was the owner himself! I am also familiar with the quality of their new construction homes. They are also incredible. I would highly recommend Quiet Harbor Builders for your home renovations, new build, and snow removal needs. They are an excellent company to do business with!!
HUGE THANK YOU to Quiet Harbor Builders for taking on a project where the homeowners were the contractors up until the finish work needed to be completed. We understood that there were a lot of unknowns and risks for any contractor to come in and do the finish work but when we asked Jeff if he would be interested in taking over what we started, he didn’t hesitate to say yes! He was excited and ready! He and his guys at Quiet Harbor Builders were so patient, understanding and flexible to any changes that needed to be done or problems that came up. We cannot thank them enough for all the work that they did and how quickly they did it too! Again thank you Jeff for completing our dream home and bringing my vision to life! 🏠🤩
It won’t let me put 100 stars - and it should! Looking for a home builder in Central Maine? Look no further! Quiet Harbor Builders is THE home builder of home builders. We started the process with them in late April 2024 after searching for a builder for three years. We moved into our new home in December 2024. Professionalism at its finest. Jeff worked on every detail with us. From finding the lot, to foundation, to framing and to each and every final detail inside and out. Weekly pictures and/or videos of progress were sent with commentary on events and happenings from the week (we looped those together for a time lapse video of our house build). Check in calls were made during the build for questions to ensure what was being done was what we wanted. Each and every request was met with “Sure, we can do that!”. Attention to every detail big or small, nothing was off the table. It was an amazing process. This is a full service team. A team of great people with home building standards that are the highest. The craftsmanship of the details is amazing. The unmatched customer service eased us as we were building from 4 states away. We knew we were in good hands and our house would be the one of our dreams. This house is the house we saw in our dreams. The crew at Quiet Harbor Builders made that happen. The process starts and ends with the schedule and the budget. This team was on schedule and on budget for the duration of the build. With all the moving parts and pieces of a home build, it is a tough task to stay on schedule and budget. Jeff and his team did both. There were very few surprises along the way. Each was brought to us with a suggestion on how it could be fixed. I think we had 2 of these. Both solutions were better than the original design. Stop searching for a home builder. Start calling Jeff at Quiet Harbor Builders. Your dream house is waiting.
