Reade Home Improvement

Wood-floor refinishing and installation are the jobs customers describe most often for Reade Home Improvement. In a November 2023 HomeAdvisor review, one customer said Scott had both refinished existing wood floors and installed new ones on separate occasions, finishing on time and at the estimated price. The written reviews span 2016–2023. Google shows a 5-star average from four ratings; HomeAdvisor and Angi each show 4.7 stars from 18 ratings. Several older customers describe floors they were pleased to keep. An October 2019 HomeAdvisor reviewer said Scott refinished nearly 90-year-old white oak floors that had last been refinished more than 30 years earlier. That customer also praised his callbacks, text replies and answers to questions. An August 2020 reviewer described parquet refinishing, punctual arrivals and respectful communication. In April 2022, a Google customer praised wood-floor refinishing and said Scott was easy to work with; a February 2022 Google reviewer said they had hired the company twice for refinishing. There is also a detailed complaint. In May 2019, a HomeAdvisor customer said replacement wood did not match the existing floor, circular sanding marks remained, and the living room received satin rather than the requested semi-gloss finish, requiring a return visit. The customer also described an attempted extra charge for setting nails and rude responses to questions. Scott Reade's Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active. HomeAdvisor lists hardwood-floor installation, repair and refinishing among the company's offerings. A December 2016 Google reviewer also described Scott finding and repairing an intermittent roof leak, saying the roof had stayed leak-free for four years by the time they wrote.
