Regal Floor Covering

Regal Floor Covering has been a fixture in Fall River since 1941 — long enough that local news profiles mention tradesmen who spent parts of their careers there, and long enough that the Silva family has now run it across two generations. Paul Silva took over from the founder in 1981, and the company's own materials say his son Jordan, who joined in 1997, is now president while Paul serves as CFO. The company sells and installs carpet, ceramic tile, vinyl, laminate and hardwood flooring for homeowners, and also works as a specialty subcontractor on large commercial and institutional projects across Massachusetts and Rhode Island — an industry network profile tracks 46 of its projects, averaging roughly $3.1 million each. On the retail and residential side, reviews describe a straightforward, well-run showroom experience. In a 2025 review, a customer said Jordan and his staff walked them through tile options for a bathroom remodel and helped them find an in-stock choice at a good price; another 2025 review praised a kitchen floor installed with LVP flooring as professional from the initial consultation through cleanup, and a third named Jeremy for a kitchen and dining room flooring and backsplash job that came out well. In a 2022 review, a customer said a technician named Joe arrived early and did high-quality tile work at a decent price, with the tile already in stock. On the commercial side, the company has been named alongside other trades thanking a general contractor on a completed local project, and separately identified as a subcontractor in a construction-industry report on a Rhode Island state building project. One listed review — a 2022 complaint about a pickup truck's driving on the road — never mentions flooring work and appears to be about an unrelated vehicle rather than this business's service. Separately, a secondary Houzz listing calls Jordan Silva "vice president," which doesn't match the company's own site or a 2026 local press feature naming him president since 2025 — worth confirming who you'd be working with directly for a larger project. For a straightforward flooring purchase and install — tile, LVP, carpet or hardwood — Regal is a long-established, reliable option in the Fall River area; for a larger commercial job, its track record with institutional general contractors is worth asking about directly.
