Two different stories run through Rescom Exteriors' 160 Google ratings, and you want both before you call. One is about the windows. The other is about the phone. Start with the work, because it is consistently well reviewed. A homeowner in July 2026 replaced four south-facing windows in a 150-year-old house and found those rooms noticeably cooler through the heat wave that followed. In April 2026 another described a front door with side panels going in over a 1970 original on a Cape, the crew on time and the site left clean. Also in April 2026, a customer whose whole house Rescom glazed twenty years earlier had the last picture window done and was happy again. The Auburn company has been at this since 1994 under president Scott Merrell, sells triple-pane windows and steel entry doors, and its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, #120598, is active. Repeat business and after-sale service are the strongest threads. In a December 2021 review, a customer whose sliding door survived an attempted break-in said Rescom came out and repaired it the next day at no charge. Another that month described a screen replaced free after a storm and a failed storm door fixed for nothing years on. A June 2022 reviewer with an old house said the door was built to a custom size, existing rot was cut out and replaced, and the price held at what was quoted. Now the phone. Four separate one-star reviews across 2025 and early 2026 describe the same sequence: enter a raffle or fill in a form at a fair or a home show, then field repeated calls from a rotating set of Auburn numbers, which continue after asking to stop. One reviewer in March 2025 counted more than 25 blocked numbers. A February 2026 customer liked the windows and the install team and still said the calls would not stop. Two more things to price in. In January 2025 a homeowner said an estimator quoted $15,000 for two basic steel doors and never sent the written quote. And in a February 2022 review, an owner of a door carrying a lifetime guarantee said it had needed adjusting every winter for six years, with calls unreturned. Porch's aggregate of 3.5 from 34 reviews sits well below Google's 4.4. If you want triple-pane windows or a custom-fit entry door and are prepared for premium pricing, the installation record here is strong and the warranty gets honoured. Get the written quote before the estimator leaves, compare it against two others, and think carefully about which phone number you hand over at a fair.
